If pafixitman ever updates his build thread....you could see how I do the headlight relay mod.

We don’t need no stinking kits. LOL
They don’t tilt (flip forward) like the originals do but they do slide all the way forward and then you lean the seat forward with the other handle. I’m not a small guy and I can get in and out without too much contortion.
The seats were one of the first things I bought. As good as the brick...
Bronco and supercab trucks swap front seats directly. The floor pans are a bit different in the crew and single cabs. Crew and single cab seats are all interchangeable. Just FYI.
Driveline vibrations are a bear sometimes. All pretty good advice. I would lean towards an input bearing or maybe a thrust bearing in the trans. ZF5’s like to eat the input shaft seal and start the downhill slide with a leak. Not sure about a zf6.
Around here, shops that do manual...
Yep. There are rare split bench seats for super cabs (I happen to have one that was in a truck it didn’t belong in). I think the flavor you are thinking about is the frame that bolts in place of the standard bench. I forget what truck it’s out of but I think IDIoit knows and has used that frame.
@snicklas not quite. My seats are buckets out of a 2012ish F150. I modified the supercab seat brackets to accept the seats.
The console is on a custom riser because there is no arm rest on these seats.
Exactly. The f150’s were very “car-like” to ride in. Just don’t try to load them real heavy without overloads. I broke a leaf spring with a truck load of green hickory.
The early 90’s f150 compared to the k1500’s was no contest. The fords were much nicer to ride in IMHO. The chevys had lousy seats and stiffer suspension. Better “trucks” maybe but the fords were better drivers. Handled better. Cornered better. Just more comfortable.
I know of a square body GMC Jimmy with brush guard that killed way more deer than any firearm I’ve ever seen. They just liked to jump in front of it as it accelerated toward. Damnedest thing.

My 88F150 in highschool got 1 new fender (real ford because they were available...
You are correct. I had a list of wheel bases and grabbed the wrong one out of my head.
I was looking for outside measurements. It’s going to be a little under 8’ which is close enough for my purposes.
Thanks guys.
Having gutted and straightened one of these, I would say first that it looks good. Second I would say I hope you took good measurements. Mine is pretty close but the radiator really doesn’t rest much on the pins.
At some point a couple years back I saw someone had produced a kit to fix the...
My first rally was fun. I got the truck together. Made the trip to pick up the new camper. On the next trip it broke a rocker arm bolt, bent a pushrod and got towed home 100 miles (just the empty truck luckily). New bolt and pushrod and we went 600 + miles to KY (truck and new camper) with the...
