    Dunno man, but get the dern cover that comes with it! That zig zag gets really hot and can melt your brand new throttle cable causing lots of hate and discontent....

    Dont you need like 100psi fuel pressure at the ip for mels pump? I dont know about r and d's ip tho. But if a guy had to buy a super wookie lift pump itd cut into the $500 difference Edit 60psi

    Indeed. no cap on the terminal or cover on the gpc.... its all free ballin. Ill check and see if i got them on a spare engine i bought a while back

    Got it fixed! Throttle cable was shorting out some terminals on top of the glow plug controller. A zippie tie later and shes all better. Cant wait to see what my new glow plugs look like tho:(

    I would disable fss on the ip next time i do it solo and just crank with the starter. Engine fired and i shut it off instantly. Reservoir was empty:eek:

    Seal the threads that bolt the fly wheel on! I would use blue lock tite. Double check the torque on em also. there was a kit with the wrong specs listed. (46lb for flywheel, i thiiiink 18lb for the pressure plate.). Single mass flywheel makes it growley at low rpm driving....

    I think @Macrobb tested this. Factory turbo r and d 110cc injector pump 250rwhp. Iirc Factory turbo, fresh injectors and fresh ip i think people are hitting 200 rwhp. N/A is around 145??

    Did you ever get the second half of your fan shroud back on? Ive got 3:55s zf5 34" tires and pulled a 11,000 tank of fertilizer today. Nailed it up a relatively small hill, temp got to "L" and egt hit 1,100. I was in 4th goin 55-60

    You can get all 8 injectors reman/ balanced for under $400 i bet. Id say its a steal. I paid $3,500 for mine not a dually and a 5 speed tho. Big thing on these is make sure the glow plug system is up to snuff. It wont start under 50 with out glow plugs working.

    Word of advice on the passenger side exhaust manifold you need to remove the studs that bolt to the Y pipe. Factory N/A has a sholdered stud there that wont seal up the the turbo Y pipe. Real PITA.

    Russ can rebuild a turbo with a mod that really wakes them up. N/a - in my opinion - has more low end grunt by a little bit. But the turbo helps lower egt and has way more power. All that black smoke turns to horse power

    Check the market place on here theres some complete sets for sale Or here was at one time. Getting all the exhaust sealed up is the worst part probably. For a factory turbo you need air filter housing, drivers side valve cover, turbo, up pipe, cross over pipe, Y pipe, turbo pedestal...

    Mine is starting ok with all the glow plugs disabled it just cranks a little longer in the morning :confused: I disconnected the main power for the gpc for now. No more flickers or pulling way down the volts. Or burning wire smell. I never did check the wts light, never crossed my mind. Found...

    Mine had a very tight spot- presumably where the pitman arm is centered- Is the pitman arm centered with the drag link? Or off to one side Or is it harder to turn the entire time to the left

    That should result in a very short cycle if everything is hot though i would think. It was holding the glow plugs in way longer than i was comfortable with. Ill still check out some wires when i get a chance on the controller
