Looks like fun! Im just getting started too, have a boatload of wmo 15-40 laying around. Trying to clean it up. It wont run through a fuge, going to try n cut it with gas hopfully tomorrow. Got it in some 55 gallon drums. Going to agitate with an air hose and wand to get the gas all mixed in good.
Mine on the gear pump gets toasty. Didnt put a temp gauge on it, got hot enough i double checked the duty cycle tho. Running 15-40 wmo that i havnt cut with anything yet. Havnt got to mess with it a lot just yet, hope to get burning some black stuff next week or so
Thanks man. The fuge just aint spinnin up but dont have it cut with anything yet. Was going to just before putting it in the pickup, but dont think that'll work
10% RUG and crossed fingers
@JPhauler87
If you were to run waste 15-40 through a fuge would you cut it with gas first?
I dont mind messin with diesel, but gas kinna scares me... lol
Love my 3g!
Do you have an aftermarket volt gauge? I had a wierd thing going on, the throttle cable was grounding out on the glow plug controller. It was intermittent tho. Volts would drop to 'N' on normal.
Could disconnect the alternator and take it for a test drive. Soo if the volt gauge...
Yup pullin that turbo is a real PITA. I would try and fish a new square cut o ring in there. I have my doubts that silicone will hold unless you take it all apart clean it apply and let dry.
This is the problem!!
Dodge back seat is small till the crew cab - 6.7 land or the unicorn 5.9 megga cab. And the front end eats tie rods n ball joints
I used a pry bar.
I think the standard course is to have the lines loose to get it in the ball park like on a pump replacement, and you can fine tune it with the lines tight.
Yup a cummins dually is hard to beat for towing stuff. Its built heavier from the start.
My dads got a P pump dually 4.10 gears. I cant hang with him hauling cows... and hes got a bigger trailer to boot.
Of course i got 3.55's still.....:frustrate
Now were talking.
Key on power going to
12volt rv water heater thermostat going to
12volt timer going to
Trigger voltage on an additional starter solenoid going to
Glow plugs. / wait to start light.
Bullet proof. And you wont have to coach everyone thats gonna drive your pickup. This is now...
Did that O ring fall off between the pedestal and the bottom of the turbo?
Is the pedestal sealing up where the N/A cdr valve goes?
Oil leaks on these can be a real pain to find....
Is the snail seated to the intake good? Under boost it might blow air/oil out all over the place.
I blew the boost gauge line off the intake snail once hauling. Theres oil all over the underside of the hood because of it...
The turbo will pull oil mist out the cdr valve. A new air filter...
