If you get a big turbo just dont blow a head gasket or the bottom end!
Bought a wicked wheel 2. Havnt got it put on, looks like its really going to suck ass, lol. I have nothing for boost until 2,000, ww2 should help build at lower rpm
did all the factory turbo idis have serpentine belts?
Ive got a 90 pickup with a factory turbo (so i think)
Either someone swapped engines or the turbo setup WITH the valve covers and all... anyone know how to tell?
Saweet!
Could you post some pics for me? I might be doing the same thing
Hauling cows at 25,000# my egts got 1,150 and was rocking 6psi boost. Ive got some exhaust leaks preturbo to chase down though. I aslo have the waste gate disabled. I feel comfortable running 10-12psi without head studs
It has a check valve in it that should stop air flow if it gets to be too much. So if you have a turbo and a plugged air filter it can get a lot of suction on the cdr and actually suck oil ,not just vapor, out of it. I believe my check valve didnt work properly because i was mopping oil out of...
Just bought a pickup with a suuuper plugged airfilter. It was sucking oil out the cdr valve... I built a RDT in a minute after that. I plan on plumbing it into the exhaust
The only beef i have with the quad pod... sun visor interference...
Hauled some cows with old red
9 cows at 1,350#= 12,150#
Pu probably 7,500#
Trailer pry 5,500#
25,150# total
Thanks! I ended up cutting a hole in the new gasket to accommodate that ball, it didnt shake at all either, thought there might be a spring holding it one way
On the way home i at least had some heat though!
That alternator was a bear to remove..... thats a hack saw blade on a pair of vice...
Ill get an extinguisher installed soon
Plug on the back of my headlight switch looks sad, pry wire in some relays soon
My high idle isnt working, should that be a concern?
Thanks for the advice!
Hey guys, just wondering what all causes these mochines to burn down.
1. Headlight switch
2. Glow plug wiring harness connector
3. Stuff that used to be on the fire wall but is now resting on the turbo
Anything else?
Thanks
