Got a number of parts to a Sidewinder Turbo kit that I need to get rid of. The kit isn’t complete so I’ve been told but I’m no expert on turbos. Local pickup or meetup only. Look at the pictures and make me an offer if you’re interested. Text me at 209-329-9seven1seven.
Thanks.
Okay so with that said, I replaced the o rings again and it’s still leaking from the bottom of the cap. Is it just another nicked o ring or is this a different issue? Would a leaking injector be leaking in that spot?
I recently did a return line kit and had some leaks afterward. Patched one of them up but the same injector head that was leaking before the return line kit is still leaking. Before I waste more extra o rings in my kit, I figured I’d ask, are these holes supposed to line up with each other?
This doesn’t look right to me but I’m still fairly new to these engines. I know they usually seep oil but obviously there’s quite a bit. Should I be concerned? I haven’t noticed any smoke at all from the exhaust and I always keep a close eye on it because this is my daily driver.
Wonderful. Well I just dumped two pint bottles of VC-8 in it thinking it was just that starved for SCAs, because I was barely getting a result with the Fleetguard test. That explains why.
Once I have the dough, I’m just doing a complete flush and filling it with CAT ELC. That stuff is just...
What could this mean? Mine went out after fixing a blown fuze that was preventing the computer from getting power which meant no electric power to pretty much everything else.
a few things:
First: Checking my coolant from my petcock valve (93 F250 7.3) and what came out first was a dingy red color, then followed with green. Upon checking the coolant from the rad cap, it’s green. Is the red just rust? Or does that sound like it’s a mix of red coolant and green...
Awesome, thank you. Is it a bad thing that it isn’t secured to the motor? I’ve looked back there and there’s nowhere to mount the controller. I’m not too crazy about the idea of it just floating around.
Okay so I’ve discovered that I don’t have the issue if my intake filter housing is not on the truck, the moment I put it on and tighten it down, it clicks. If I don’t tighten it down all the way, it won’t click. This makes no sense. There’s no contact happening between the relay and the filter...
I’ll check them all. Already seriously looking at getting the CDD harness.
I bought a test light last night while at orielly and couldn’t get it to light up on both good and bad glow plugs. I did have the end of the light hooked up to a positive terminal. Was i doing something wrong with that...
Tuesday’s off to a bad start.
Ive been running on a few bad glow plugs for awhile now but after a no start yesterday morning and an increase in relay clicking, I was pretty confident that they all finally took a dump.
Last night went to orielly and picked 8 ZD-9s and went home and switched...
93 F250 7.3 4x4.
Temp gauge on dash is inop. Engine temp idiot light is on permanently, from the point I turn it on. It’s been like this since I bought it 6 months ago, and after smelling a slight tinge of burning oil this morning on my way to work, i figured it’s time to stop putting off...
Not sure the condition of the shower heads, but I was considering deleting the front tank, as from what I’m reading online is the smaller of the two. Maybe if I just bypass the selector valve and run the rear tank straight to the engine, that would fix the issue? What’s your take on that?
It is causing issues. Occasional surge in power, which is rare but it has died on me while driving probably 6-7 times in the past two months. Would have to hop out, bleed the lines, then start it up again. The other day I almost got stranded at the grocery store because whenever I would try to...
i have air bubbles in my fuel return line, the clear one that goes back into the IP. Usually you don’t see them until you tap the start of the line down near the injector at the front driver side. It has screw down clamps on the hose, tightened those to see if it would help and the bubbles...
