Not sure how to explain my problem. Installed new injection pump and now it starts up great. Idles just fine. But once into 1st gear and start driving it wants to take off. And if put into neutral the rpms keep going up until I turn off the motor. Drive it a min and it goes away. Let truck sit...

Sounds like glow plugs are not getting hot enough. If you let it sit over night then plug the heater in for about 10-20 min will it start right up? If so sounds like the problem. Change the controller same time. You run a risk of blowing new plugs in no time. 2 sets of plugs in weeks time is how...
Just filled up yesterday. Also thinking back. I just drained the water separator (original) but it has not given me trouble before as I have installed a shut off valve to prevent air intrusion.
Just got it in it headed down the drive way and it cuts off. Won't start back up. Crank crank crank (starter took a beating) cranked over once for a second and shut off instantly when put stick in reverse. 1985 6.9 non turbo dually.
