Sorry to hear about your luck other people on this forum have used slide hammers n such my case was not so lucky either. I had one soooo swollen I had to pull the heads and remove the pre chamber to pull it out from the bottom. This was after 4 days of penetrating lube, vise grips and hammer and...
So far so good dang thing cranks over so fast on startup its turning over like a 6.0. I would have went with his cam but I didn't want to lose out on any low end torque that his bleeds off as this truck is gonna be pulling my 30ft TT. Still more driving needs to be done but I will update with...
LOL I haven't updated my thread didn't seem like too many were interested in it at the time but I will do something for you guys in the next few days on it. I know about "just" an RD2-90 its fueling 100cc up towards the 3k mark haven't gotten over 2400 rpm's yet cause the powers already there...
I'm hoping the clutch will hold max boost numbers are unknown at this point (a lot of stop and go driving to break the motor in will update when that happens) and will have a dyno done when I get 20,000 or so miles on it. My butt dyno really enjoys it though
Here's mine dropped it in two weeks ago, runs like a scalded dog. Torque is amazing and one hell of a turbo whistle finishing up some loose ends and it will be good to go.
I made a GPC mount s(till a work in progress.)out of a dipstick bracket and a piece of aluminum plate. Mounted it to the drivers side manifold and bought a banks crankcase adapter pt# 94042. Those valve covers seem to be getting pretty rare. And
Added my accessories to the engine (waiting on ARP bolts for the intake) hoping to have the engine installed this weekend.
if the photo is upside down my bad.:dunno
I saw that too. They had them a few months ago (should have bought them then) what about using a stud with a wiz lock type nut. The ones with teeth on the nut, doing some searching I've seen P Stroke kits with them if not stealership here we come. Cost me 26.00 for some head alignment dowles and...
I was aware of the special exhaust bolts was trying to find a better option than the stealership. Ill check u haul on eBay for those and I am going to probably get the ARP bolts for the intake just to make me feel better lol. Cant wait to get this beast up and running. Its been a long time...
ok guys thank you. I think Ill go with grade 8 black oxide and if I have any issues ill go with ARP. I remember reading that a member from another site Dave S. blew the intake and exhaust gaskets cause of boost so I am a firm believer of do it once do it right.
As the title says I am coming to the end of my build and am getting ready to put the intake manifold on, I will be running about 18-22 psi of boost with the fuel I am running. Has anybody else installed studs on the intake and exhaust? If so what sizes/lengths did you use and where did you...
That sucks, I got a set of new pre chambers from Diesel Cast welding 115.00 they do sell off shore heads. If you call them deal with the store in MN. The Oregon store didn't want to deal with me for just the chambers.
