    Battery Cable?

If this is for the '86 in your signature, A12300HP is NOT the right one. It would probably fit, but the correct one is A11600HP , also available at RockAuto.

    ISSPRO Coolant Gauge Issue!?!?

Clarify "A/C cut out". Did the fan stop blowing? Or did it stop producing cold air? Is the A/C working now?

    Anyone heard of a metropolitan?

I thought you were gonna show us one of these: Here's one in a little better shape - http://www.lunnysauto.com/detail/1990-Ford-Bronco-Magnum-Rare-1990-Ford-Bronco_162572542470.html . Company appears to be still in business.

    BUYING IDI V2

Where are you getting that it's a solid axle at all? The OP said he found out it's a Dana 44; presumably that means it's a TTB. If folks were thinking it was Dana 60 based on the wheel well spacing, it looks to me like the tires are undersize.

What year truck? Did you use your turn signal to change lanes?

    Fuel gauge reads

Fuel gauge issue would not be with the switch. It would be with the valve, and/or wiring from valve to the gauge head.

    Easy coolant filter

^^^^^ For those trucks that have one. AFAIK, only automatic trucks do.

    Glow plug controller failure

Can't tell from the pic, but it sounds like you don't have an insulating cap on the always-hot terminal on the relay. This ^^^^^^ is the reason it was there originally. Same goes for the always-hot terminal/junction point on the starter relay.

A little good or bad news

Reminds me of that farmer's "old" shovel he's had for the last 35 years. He's had to replace the handle twice, and the head three times, but he's had the "same" shovel all this time.....

    Easy coolant filter

I think the bypass concern was not so much about engine cooling, and more about whether there would be enough coolant for the heater core. That's the reason you don't want the filter in line with the heater core.

At those RPM and that speed, it's gotta be 3.55.

    Where to plumb coolant filter?

Hose coming from the cylinder head is going to a port clearly marked "INLET", no?

    Where to plumb coolant filter?

There are only two types of Fleet Charge - full strength and 50/50 pre-diluted. 50/50 is just an expensive way to buy water.

Will this speedo work & Psom

Good to hear. The donor most likely had 235/85R16 stock tires, which would likely match the stock calibration of your original PSOM.

    1986 hp vs 1987?

Only way that ^^^^^ could happen is if the clutch were slipping.
  21. M

Will this speedo work & Psom

They're the same PSOM. Calibration may be different. It's based on tire size; has nothing to do with engine type. What was the donor truck? I haven't worked on an OBS IDI, but I doubt the tach sensor goes through the PSOM.

    Oil at the add mark

Hot/cold, I'll have to check our manuals. But there's no way you'd get any meaningful level reading from ANY engine that's _running_. You at LEAST have to shut it down and let the oil drain into the pan.
  23. M

    Oil at the add mark

The dipstick marking is based on COLD level. You always want to wait until after the engine has NOT run for a while, so as much oil has possible has gone into the pan.

    Easy coolant filter

Couldn't you just find a filter that's not as tall? So you have enough clearance below it to unscrew it from the head in place? Here's one, same thread, same OD, MIGHT be same gasket size, aprx. 4" tall, pre-charged - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OKXAD0
