    Door seals options?

This _is_ where you can trust the Dennis Carpenter product. It's a US-made product and good quality.

Help me decide, E4OD vs ZF5

Um, "the woman" won't drive a manual? BOV ~== E4OD. If you really want to be prepared, you don't want to be dependent on electronics, and you want a vehicle that could be pull-started by another vehicle if necessary. A C6 would be your automatic of choice, but of course at the cost of an...

    7.3 5spd ranger on 44's??

Power notwithstanding, even the WEIGHT of a 7.3 IDI would be too much for the half-ton suspension, not to mention a Ranger frame. And is it just me, or do those blocks look like widowmakers?

    1989 7.3 IDI New Truck

Diesel Kleen white bottle, good quality fuel, well maintained GP system, plug in when possible below aprx. 20F, and you're good to go for winter.

    Door seals options?

DON'T get the LMC or Dennis Carpenter products. They're both made in China and poor quality. OEM are made in Canada; try the various online dealers, they're only a few dollars more than the Chinese junk.

    Large Capacity rear fuel tank

The letter difference (F26A/D/E) on the Spectra tanks denotes a difference in the opening for the pickup/sender. It changed over the generations. So figure out what stock size Spectra tank your truck would use (I believe the stock size series is F1<x>), and whatever letter suffix that tank is...

Glow plug socket size? 3/8 or 10 mm?

This necroposter really got butt-hurt over the socket size? Who on earth (who does anything DIY) wouldn't have both SAE and metric anyway? Hell, my tools are in the basement, so when I misjudge a tool size, it's a couple minutes back and forth; I just write it off to being a first world problem.

Excellant contact # for 6.9 and 7.3 INT HARV. PARTS

I know this dude's about parts, not service, but it would still be handy to post a reply with this info to the "Excellent Service" sticky thread, just to make it usable reference info. Actually, in a manner of speaking, providing leads on hard-to-find parts IS a sort of "service".

    Stiff Clutch Pedal

Where did you have them before you uploaded them to Barfbucket? Aren't they there still now? Do people really think that their personal information is either safe or useful to them on for-profit sites, "free" for the moment but could be charged for, sold, given away, deleted, etc. at any time...

    Stiff Clutch Pedal

....or post a link to your thread with the pics showing the differences.... That's true for the bushing between the arm and the pushrod. But for that connection, the FLAPS bushing is just as craptastic as the OEM. The pedal BOX bushings are another story; if the metal on the pedal box itself is...

Looking for input on an idea...

^^^^ +1; plus, wrt. wiring, there's no free lunch. If you put the inverter forward, then the wiring going back to the outlets in the bed will have to be larger to accomodate the current over the longer distance. If anything, I'd move the dedicated battery AND the inverter back. That way, the...

    Stiff Clutch Pedal

Those are the bushings you'd need. Given LMC's usual quality, I'd go for the dealer part. Exception would be the bushing on the arm to the pushrod. Search "clutch heim joint" for a proper fix. Do it all sooner than later; if you're metal on metal, you could waller out the holes in the pedal box...

Looking for input on an idea...

Charging cordless tools won't require an isolator; it's not enough draw to worry about. For your 18-20V tools, get a cordless charger that is powered by 12VDC. Whatever brand you use, there should be one available. I have one for my Ryobi ONE 18V batteries. If you're running 40V or 56V...

    Rad support. Idi for pstroke?

The early PSDs actually had the IDI radiator, with a cap and an external overflow. The later PSD radiator uses a degas reservoir, so you'd have to plumb that in if you converted. Depends on your preference, whether you like the pressurized reservoir vs. the external overflow. Idunno if one is...

Need advice with my 1992 F250 7.3 IDI

Wherever you read that, it's nonsense. SCA is MADE for conventional anti-freeze. What do you think was put in the truck originally, before ELCs even existed? In fact, Peak Fleet Charge is simply conventional anti-freeze pre-charged with SCA; it just happens to be dyed pink. Fleetguard is a...

    Sending Unit Repair

Remove it from the tank and connect it, turn the key to RUN, make sure that tank is selected, and slowly swing the arm by hand. Watch the gauge. If the gauge responds, the sending unit is good and the float is the more likely suspect. As you can see ^^^^^, it just snaps on/off the arm. If no...

    Ebrake help

On an OBS, you should be able to pull the release handle with one hand, then pull backward on that intermediate cable with the other. That will "de-adjust" the auto-adjust mechanism in the pedal/release assembly. Then connect the splitter thingy, apply / release a few times and the auto-adjust...

    Parts

So the front driveshaft will be too long. Might be worth getting it shortened. Or perhaps the DC joint could be put on your F250 front shaft. You'd have to investigate those options. But your blowing a major opportunity if you don't swap that Dana 60 in.

    Help on Fuel System Issue

^^^^ Yes, but without the "pretty much". Try running a line right from a jerry-can of diesel, see if that makes it go away. If so, then just start working your way back. Disconnect the supply at the selector, and run it from a jerry-can. If you get air, there's an air leak between there and the...

    free crew cab??

Eight-door of course, with at least one pair opening backward...... Edit - that's it! Mount the WHOLE crew cab backward, build a dummy back panel to cover the "firewall", add a super-shorty bed, it'll be a pushme-pullyou....

    Fuel tank

Is this based on the gauge, or the fact that you've driven some distance on the front tank and have run it down?
