cruise control
I would start with anything related to brakes---- tail lights, pig tail adaptors for trailers, trailer plug receiver, the 2 wire switch on the master cyl, third brake light on cab [if equipped] etc.... use the KISS principle :D---- Braking dis-engages the cruise ;Sweet- geonc

A/C clutch 12V wire info
fans are needed when idling with ac on---gotta move air across the condensor or the pressure builds and blows stuff up :eek: {don't ask how I know} :angel:- geonc

By doing that alone------ those fans will be running constantly as long as you run the air conditioner....not needed at road speeds---- and will randomly cycle when you are in defrost mode because the clutch cycles even then! Don't see any truck info in your sig to offer any suggestions about...- geonc

Look under the left front of the block---there is a small flat section with the numbers "53" cast in----- very thin walls = block pitting and coolant leaks...similar to cavitation, except the 53 blocks were just poorly casted. repair = removal- geonc

Yes...but not on the scale of using blowers in the thread title! Those are "roots" style = helical rotors and they are HUGE... besides the fact a lot of fab work would be required...same as adapting one for gas use...oil supply and return etc.... Those Whipple chargers are straight cut...- geonc

cookoo EH?...water pumps generally do not just stop leaking unless the cooling system is out of coolant.... Were you 100 percent sure the leak was from the weep hole? :popcorn- geonc

One important thing is the top 2 bolts---they are "shorter" than the rest! Failure to re-install them in their correct place will damage the timing gears! When re-filling the coolant...loosen one of the heater hoses at the firewall and be sure the hose is actually loose/free....this will...- geonc

How bad can I screw up the return lines?
All good info ;Sweet One thing to emphasize is the clamps---make double sure the lines lie true in the grooves and be sure and re-tighten any you loosen/remove! Those clamps are important to absorb the vibration from the fuel pulse---any missing/loose will guarantee a busted line at the nut!- geonc

White Faced Gauges?
Are you looking for the full overlay style [as shown in my pic] or the small teardrop like on fleabay? Mine are white in daytime but illuminate blue at night and are called "reverse glow"...just gotta remember where I got them ........ One thing to keep in mind esp if you plan on diesel...- geonc

7.3 poor start
As stated, cranking speed is important! Howard is on the ball with 500 rpm being minimum so that needs both batteries contributing along with a strong starter...if you have had any fuel or oil leaks that ran down the starter side....it has contaminated the starter motor. 100k mi eh....has the engine ever been "soaked" either by pressure wash or driving thru deep water?
