I see there is a thread in the basement so we need one for the OBS PSD guys who check in :D
Sounds painless and just may cure that nagging no cruise issue too!
Here is what I got in the mail....
This an interesting recall....that sensor [if I'm not mistaken] is one of the areas you need to check when your cruise don't work...I seem to remember posting something about finding that issue with mine but I'll be damned if I can get past this CRS  :D
And in regards to finding...
I hope you mean "glow plug relay"......
There is no "ESO" for fuel that I'm aware of :dunno
I would check the IPR- inj press reg- located on the lower driver side of the HPOP......sol could be bad or the o rings are shot.....
HOLY CHIT ROB! miserable ratbastidsumbiotch :backoff prolly sum vulcan crack head.....
On to your fuel issue....I coulda swore you had an electric fuel pump
Out of right field----is the shut down clicking/working?
Try a can of hair tonic directly in the filter....may help...
Musta been a fun ride :D ....that one have 7:1 gears as well
You say it was a 12-149 -------so I take it both the Robert and Elizabeth are safe
I never said they "can't" turn higher.....it's just that weird things happen and dependent on the situation....it can be either the...
Drew, Yes but not in a way many would think---ie; blow off valve style---this may get long winded :D
Theroy of operation was that due to turbo'd Detroits being 2 cycle[actually needing the blowers to start and pump air at low speeds] and not using any form of boost limiting device ie; wastegate...
Blowers already turn 2.5 times eng speed....no "special" grinds for the cams so you will have to provide some R+D on those if you want to change the ramp.... liners are "ported"--knife edged to assist swirl....if the exh valves open any more they are get real cozy with the pistons :eek...
Blower does not change---except when you turbo the eng then just the rotor seals change from lip style to piston ring style...
For nat aspirated...N65 brown tags and advance gear train timing is a safe bet....but you can go if memory serves up to N80 but then you will get cyl wash...different...
BRW, When my first SB clutch went Tango Uniform --springs in windows destroyed themselves--- the Kevlar bushing was stuck to the input shaft...even after I used some sleeve locker.
I do attribute that as a result of the disc failure tho...
To this day I do have some minor vibe...
:thanks: for the replys guys
Actually I did find that the lower neck on the wp uses the exact same seal ring as the thermostat! ;Sweet
When I replaced the water pump 4 years or so back, it came with the neck all ready installed....
Seeing that expensive kool aid looking CAT ELC...
Which wiring....the entire valve cover gasket assy or just the actual harness[s] that connect the inj and GP's to the valve cover assys?
check the GP ohms by removing the plugs at the VC connectors and look for the outermost pins ---more than 1.0 ohms is most likely shot out.
Er...that is incorrect :sorry: 238 bhp was in stock trim "naturally aspirated" with N60 injectors....power can be upped from there using N65 Brown Tag injectors and even N90 inj but the gear train will need to be advanced requiring removing the flywheel housing, also different inj timing...
On my water pump, there is a seal ring["O" ring] in the metal tube with a flange that connects the lower rad hose [inlet] to the pump...I gots a dribble from there :backoff so I drained the coolant, removed the adaptor and found a seal ring...it is intact  so I cleaned it all up with a...
Are you referring to one of the side covers?
If so Any PTO [power take off] cover from any trans--auto or std- will work so I'm sure your local boneyard, towing shop etc should have a great selection.
$10 or a sixer of some cold barlypop should set you up :D
No worries on a gasket...a...
my couple pennies.....I have used nothing but Rotella 15-40 in my past 4 diesels and all have gone past the 300k mi mark...3 of those were n/a IDI and in my current PSD I generally use 2-3 qts in 5 k mi.
Not knocking Delo or Delvac by any means.......but Rotella has been very good to me so...
Looks like Freight is closest :D
53 series used the dimpled rocker covers that had #3 phillips screws---3 along the top and 3 along the bottom....
...altho that is not an oil fill but rather a breather cap with steel wool inside.
6v53T would have been a heavy mutha...not to mention...

Dang Travis....real sorry to hear about you selling but having been there and done that only selling my equip instead of my PSD, I fully understand your situation.
NOW...if I only had the $2800 :sly:sly:sly:angel:
Hang tough bro!
