    Correct---BB goes in first--that is what adds pressure to the spring--- Plunger is triangular and will only go in correctly without force---bore has tiny grooves the ends of plunger ride in..... Clear as mudd LOL Hope this is of some help :cheers:

    Here ya go :D Keep in mind the different bolt lengths! And some of the '95 models also have another filter on the fpr. there is a black cap at the bottom of it and if you unscrew it there is a screen there you need to clean as well.

    Diesel fuel filters look like that :D Black.. .........the thick goo---when was the last time it was changed? What IS MORE important would be the actual color of the fuel in the bowl after the filter was removed! Amber=good....Black = bad inj o rings! Damaged inj o rings allow engine oil to mix...

    Gary, have you checked the oil level in the HPOP?--remove the allen head plug and take a look.....should be within 1/4" or so from top... Also may want to check the IPR --driver side front of valley--will have a bail wire clip. They are a magnetic coil type valve....mebee just a good cleaning...

    There is no need to mash the pedal on a PSD ..... fly by wire :D UVC's come to mind....Wait a sec----Yours is a '94 right? That would be 1st gen PSD. There were some issues with the HPOP resivuor bleeding down on '94-early '95 PSD's need oil pressure to fire---there are a couple things...

    If the tach was registering while the eng is spinning, the CPS can be ruled out as the problem..... Just for grins, check the fuel heater ---being the truck is up in Alaska, I'm sure he needs it :D If memory serves, check fuse#22--30 amp maxi in the distribution box under the hood-driver...
