Thanks guys, it could be coming down from the valley pan. It is tough to get the turbo drain in cleanly in the engine bay and I think it may have been leaking there. Now that it is out I can see that. So I will redo that as well.
Are National seals any good?

A little history. I have had a bad oil leak, but it only leaks when running. From prior inspection I thought it was coming from the back of the oil pan. Although looking at it with the engine out it appears thread sealant was not applied to the flywheel bolts. How much could that leak?
I...
Interesting. I really like that you are digging into this kind of stuff and testing it out for all of our knowledge. Keep it up!

That looks just like my Banks kit. Someone even cut the big box down the same as I did. Mine is still going strong [emoji1320]

You could always get a rear view mirror with a screen for the back up camera. Doesn't help much with the GPS though.

Wes, didn't you do the one at a time head stud replacement? Thought I remembered that... maybe it was someone else. Used a bottoming tap on an extension to clean the holes?

That looks like the same head unit I have. It is great having the Bluetooth phone setup. Has worked great for me even with the noisy old truck. I mounted the external mic right on the steering column and everyone says the can hear me clearly. I need to add some speakers in the rear, might do...
The range should be 22.5 empty and 145 ohm full.
You may just want to de-solder the sending unit and move it over to your original.

I spent the weekend working on fuel tank maintenance. The shower heads are out and fuel line with brass tees in. Tanks cleaned up and vents cleaned out. One was packed full of dirt. In its younger days this truck had a very dirty life. I will also be running the return to the rear, supply...
Macrobb it looks like you nailed it! I moved an auxiliary electric cooling fan I had on the old brown truck over to this one prior to this trip. This seems to be causing it. I drove it to work this morning and shut it down with the fan on and it ran for the 3 seconds. I started it back up...
Well I can't get it to do it t night. It shuts down with the key turn. I didn't have time for a drive, so I will have to try that and see if it has to be warm to do it.

I replaced the switch down at the base of the steering column. And yes take the key out it still does it. After checking the IP I will check that rod.
Thanks!
