Happy New Year Everyone!
My truck has the old school non-wastegate Banks turbo. At some point I would love to swap to a ZF5. I understand that the Banks Kits were specific to either an automatic or manual transmission, but I haven't been able to find out what the difference is. Can anyone...
None that I have noticed. Although I don't run it too low very often. Old habits with keeping it above 1/4 tank [emoji39]

Those sumps do look like a cool way to go. I thought about it then just went with what I had.
So far the setup has been working well. It will pretty much bring the gauge to empty. Bonus that the gauge actually works down that low.

I used the Banks adapter and hose an routed it the hose to the CDR I mounted to the intake tube. I don't have a great picture, but this one shows where the CDR is mounted.

It runs from the fenderwell over to the motor. Usually right behind the fuel filter. Look for two large yellow wires on one side of the connector.

Happy hump day all,
Are any of the cheap testers on EBay any good? I'd like to go through my small collection of injectors.

You could also only run and return to the front tank and then set up a transfer pump to pump fuel from the rear tank to the front when needed.

I have always wanted to build a VW turbo diesel powered Samurai. Might happen one day...

Well she is a runner again!
Finally got everything buttoned back up and took the test drive tonight. Seems to be good to go.

Ah, yes I do remember some talk about those a while back. They do look sweet! I bet the headlight upgrades are more numerous as well.
