    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Yes, I thought so too. I bet one guy invested all the money then sold it and the next guy then had no appreciation for it. The guy I got it from acquired it in a trade for a bull, but hadn't had it for more than a couple months.

    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Here is a peek under the hood. I am not crazy about the bright green, will change that at some point. Manifolds are cool! The y-pipe routing doesn’t go under the engine like my old Banks kit, it goes behind. I am guessing for quicker spooling due to a shorter route.

    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Here are a few interior pictures. The drivers seat is torn on the door side and the dash pad has a small crack. A bunch of plastic pieces are loose and missing screws, but it cleaned up fairly well.

    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Since I will be using this thread as the ongoing rehabilitation of Benny I edited the title to be a bit more sensible. Also I am adding in the pictures for the exhaust I put together. When I got the truck it had nothing except the turbo down pipe.

    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Well the exhaust is on, oil is changed and much cleaning, mostly interior is done. Removed the tool box and lumber rack for now. Took a trip to the landfill with a bunch of yard waste.

    Benny gets exhaust

    When I bought Benny a week ago he had nothing more than the turbo down pipe for an exhaust system. Not real pleasant to drive. I got the parts together and put together a ‘custom’ system. Sounds great and is much more pleasant to drive. It sounds like a big rig, throaty with some whistle but...

    Early Banks filter box alternative?

    Cut it down and use an external filter. Below is an example, not my picture. When I did it on my 87 I put both batteries on the passenger side to make room for the filter.

    I'M BACK!!!! Rehabilitation of Benny

    Happy Memorial Day Everyone! Well after having my 6.0 stolen about a month ago I bought another IDI yesterday. I needed something and after searching found this 1993 F-250 abut 3-1/2 hours away. Definitely a truck someone loved and put a lot into at some point (R&D Diesel goodies), but has...

    Tempted by Newer Truck

    Happy Monday Gang, I sit here having stayed home with the flu. However that isn't my true torment right now. An old friend of mine has offered me a good deal on his 2006 F-250 King Ranch 4x4 6.0. It is all stock with 170,000mi. Well taken care of, first owner being a Ford service manager...

    return lines left me stranded

    I second the Delphi kit from NAPA over the ORielly's. You will need a 5/8 inch wrench for the injector lines, pliers for the little green hose clamps, something to cut the hose with and it is good to put some grease on the o'rings before you put them over the injectors. Run a finger around in...
