Price fluctuates. At one time, I saw it listed as low as $255 shipped on eBay, but generally it runs about $270-$280 shipped. I bought this direct from Champion for $270 plus CA tax. They would have charged me $30-$40 for shipping had I not picked it up via Will Call. I figured buying direct...
I'm selling a used 3-row Champion aluminum radiator that was in my truck for 3 years. No leaks and in overall great shape. Some bent fins here and there, but nothing serious. Will need a new petcock. I ran Fleetcharge coolant mixed 50/50 with distilled water in the radiator.
I REALLY prefer...
4-row installed. I updated the first post with pics and specs.
First impressions are very positive. The 4-row is noticeably heavier than the 3-row, which shouldn't come as a huge surprise. The core width difference vs the 3-row is substantial, as evidenced by the pics in the first post...
Dimensions and specs on the 4-row are now in the 1st post. This thing is a BEAST! Pics will be there as well, but I'm going to wait to take them until I have the 3-row out for comparison.

Bump from the dead....
So, this may seem silly, but for really no reason other than I wanted to, I've decided to pull the trigger and replace the perfectly-functioning Champion 3-row and install their new 'Monster Cooling' (their name, not mine) 4-row version, Part Number MC1165. It's going...
So, apparently, we've all been using the wrong terminology for the IP.....

You really can't go wrong with pillar mounts, especially since you have a OBS , which means they make models specifically for your truck. In my bricknose, I installed a 3-gauge pod for an OBS (Autometer) that I had to modify slightly to fit. It houses coolant temp, boost, and EGT. Below and to...
Once you get past the clack clack clack of the injection system and learn to kinda zone that out, it's not that hard to focus in on what the engine is doing.

Lucky! I'm planning on buying one soon as well. I have the 3-row now, but wouldn't mind the extra capacity for peace of mind.
As for me, I finished installing an aftermarket keyless entry system in the truck today. Can't stop playing with it!

Not sure on your model, but on my 91 there is a massive rubber plug on the firewall behind the drivers kick panel. It's where the computer would sit if we had one. Drill a hole in it for your pass-through. Works great!

Just FYI that Champion makes a 4-row version now. Part number is MC1165. For the couple extra bucks, I'd go for it. Heck, I'm half thinking of pulling my current 3-row Champion and installing the 4-row just cuz.

FWIW, my OEM gauge reads low like yours (usually not even to the 'N'), but my aftermarket gauge (with the sensor installed in the OVERTEMP light location) shows right at 195°F, which is what you would expect since the OEM thermostat is set for exactly that. Hottest I've seen on the gauge is...
Not sure why you're mentioning the lack of CEL. The only thing that sets off that light in our trucks is too low of oil pressure or too high of engine temperature, so unless you were experiencing one of those issues, the light was working as designed.

FWIW, I've been using the aftermarket ones found on eBay for about $80/set for over a year now with no issues. They grip using the outside surface of the lugnuts, so I always make sure to align the lugnut so that the edges face as far from center as possible. Haven't lost one yet. Yeah, they...
Rubber mallet loses too much energy. Use a deadblow hammer. I've taken mine off twice, and I used the rental tools from the local auto parts store (You are using the wrench in combination with the tool that keeps the fan from turning, yes?). It, combined with a length of pipe slipped over the...
Mine started out that rough. A bit of aircraft paint remover, some steel wool of various grades, and a Powerball made for some outstanding results.
