    New clutch slipping.

The arm that connects between the pedal box shaft and the master cylinder pushrod is on a spline. You can try removing it and "re-clocking" it, that is, moving it a bit clockwise and re-installing it. That would have the effect of backing off on the pushrod.

    F350 to f250

First you said the F350 has a solid axle, then you said it doesn't have a front axle at all. Which is it? Which truck do you want to end up driving, and why?

    New clutch slipping.

Could be a factor. If you have an assistant, slide under the truck and observe the slave/fork while an assistant pops the pedal arm off of the pushrod. If you see any movement of the fork, that means the pedal is moving the fork slightly even when full up, and that could be partly disengaging...

I want this for a parts runner truck but no room :(

Actually, if it were a 4x4 manual, it would be an awesome SHTF "home away from home" truck. I'd want to paint it a lighter color and cut some windows in it. Gotta love the ad, though. How, in the age of digital photography, do people still get their fingers in the frame, and cut off parts of...

    Let the ZF5 swap commence!

Last couple of complete master-line-slave kits I've gotten (forget which brand...) have had the switch included on the pushrod.

    V-Belt wobble

Is it WOBBLING (pulley out of alignment) or DEFLECTING (loose belt)? BIG difference in prognosis.

Only cranks after being plugged in

Does it literally NOT CRANK unless you use the block heater? Or does it CRANK but fail to START? Have you measured the resistance of each glow plug, and checked the continuity of the wires going to the glow plugs?

^^^^^^ The clutch switch, no doubt.

what is the draw on a solid state GPC?

Actually, those are most likely two fusible links running in parallel. That's how a PSD is wired.

1988 F350 Transmission Door Tag Code

This guide - http://www.fordtruckclub.net/forum/showthread.php?p=53549 - suggests it's a ZF5. The guy might just be looking at the shift knob, which doesn't indicate a 5.

    Stuck on defrost

^^^^ Yeah, that's my understanding. Ours was broken for a while and it didn't affect the other HVAC ops. Leak has to be further "upstream", maybe right at the distro box / manifold where all the vac lines converge.

Who's seen one of these GEM's

That ^^^ one appears to be a Centurion; not REAL clear, but the rear axle seems to sit too far forward in the wheel well (that's the giveaway). Oh yeah, looking again at that pic, I ***THINK*** Centurion also put theirs on a 3"-ish body lift, to compensate for the "dog leg" of the supercab...

    Let the ZF5 swap commence!

Yeah, that pedal box is one of those processes of repeated twist, turn, contort, cuss, shove, squeeze, scratch head, rinse, repeat, until out of nowhere, it just sorta pops into position. Can't for the life of me figure out how to describe to someone how to do it easily.
  23. M

Who's seen one of these GEM's

Pretty sure that's NOT a Centurion job. They used to just put their custom body on a Supercab frame, so the rear axle wasn't even centered in the wheel well. And they badged them as a C250 or C350 or what-not. This one appears to be a shortened CCLB and looks a lot better than the Centurion...

E40D One wire to starter relay/solonoid fixed shifting issue but now is hard starting

Correct, the little wire with the L-shaped push-on terminal goes by itself on the small terminal of the relay. It's not relevant to your issue, however. The wire you moved is probably a fusible link that ultimately powers the TCM, which is what shifts the transmission. The way it was, it would...

E40D One wire to starter relay/solonoid fixed shifting issue but now is hard starting

So you didn't leave any large wire disconnected? The one wire on the big terminal on the relay goes to the starter solenoid. All the others (except the little trigger wire, which is a much smaller terminal) should be ganged together on the other big terminal. That terminal acts as a junction...
