Yup stock belt fits perfectly with that Dorman a/c delete pulley. The delete kit however is very cheaply made, I hope it lasts a while. The pulley itself is plastic with lots of play in the bearing, not sure what kind of bearing is in there, I was scared to take it apart in the event that I...
Just finished installing the Airtex, kinda got into a hurry. I logged the mileage and the hrs, we'll see how it does. Installed an inline pre filter and cleaned tank screens while I was at it. So its got everything going for it.
I think I will order another one and keep it behind the seat...
For 99 and up electric fuel pump trucks:
Are the Airtex electric fuel pumps worth putting in as a stock replacement or are they junk? I have one sitting on the shelf, would be convenient to use it but if its only going to last a year, I will wait a couple days till I can order a better one...
I have a 99 7.3 with a non functional a/c, its not functioning for several reasons and here in Canada I really don't need a/c at all and never desire even using it so I'd like to remove the compressor and all is fixings to eliminate one more potential failure item and make for better access to...
What are the current thoughts on what starter is the best for our 7.3's? I'm needing a new one for my 99 F550. Thinking about going thru DB Electrical.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I really do like the vocational style headlight setup. Certainly more headlight options also, And those lights are something else alright. Will the vocational setup be difficult to install or is it pretty straight forward? And are there suggestions as to where I can get the vocational setup?
Ok that sounds good to. So the new housings....should I just look for some stock replacements and toss is LED bulbs? Any particular brand of LEDs or housings?
I have never messed with superduty headlights before so total newbie
I'm desperately needing to ditch my factory faded plastic headlights on my 99 F550, for some better ones. What is a good HID kit that I could order? I do want a plug an play option, not interested in doing the 05+ headlight mod at the moment due to time restraints.
Any thoughts would be...
Hmmm, you say it can't? If it could, would that be a dealer thing? Today it even stalled once, it didn't catch itself in time and it quit in the middle of an intersection. Fired up no prob but still not good.
I run several early ones. I just don't use the block heater and use an alternative instead such as a lower rad hose heater or whatever. You probably don't even need one in Texas. I think the early ones lacked piston cooler jets also. But regardless, I have put many many trouble free miles on...
Mobil 1 instead? That's what I usually use. I was in a pinch when I bought the T6. Just got the truck, wanted to dump whatever was in it asap. T6 is all I had that day. And Baldwin 7039 filter
1999 7.3 Superduty ZF6, when coasting in gear, no throttle for any length of time, then the clutch is depressed and engine is allowed to return to idle; the idle will keep dropping below 500rpm then catches itself just before it stalls and then settles and a nice steady smooth idle. It does...
I jumped the window motor out from the battery as there is no power from the light blue wire w/ black tracer, as I believe there is supposed to be anytime the key is either ON or ACC.
The lock/window illumination fuse is fine, not sure about the #4 relay under the dash. I'm betting that might...
Hi guys. I have a Kent Moore 33300 meter (that I have actually never used) and went to time a 6.9l the other day and realized that the injection line clamp is missing. Can't find it. I do have a Snap On MT160 Lumi probe however. I have never used a lumi probe at all. If I plug it into #1...
Both power windows in my 99 F550 7.3, were working just fine and rolled the drivers one down one day (in the rain) and it won't go back up, both windows are dead. Both switches on drivers door and the switch on passenger door do nothing.
The fuse, (position 25) in the fuse box, is fine. The...
Ok after actually taking off the Y and having a better look, it was an oil line leaking into the valley, and the oil onto the exhaust was a valve cover gasket. Thanks guys,
Still leaking something from somewhere, but I'm gonna leave that one for now lol
I'm 99.9% sure that its not fuel. Guess I have to tear it all down again to have a look then and see whats what. It didn't leak oil before I changed the pump, then started leaking right away after the new pump was one. Then flows right down onto the exhaust of course
