    W80: keeping it mixed

Idiabuse, do you have a link to a thread showing your setup? What filters do you use?

    W80: keeping it mixed

Do you guys think I have enough filtration for a non-fuge setup? Please spare me the "get a fuge" comments, I don't think its practical for me right now and I know there are plenty of people running WMO blends without them. I started getting clogged fuel filter symptoms this morning. 10um. Was...

Think I'll give alternate fuels a try... few ???

I've been starting my 12v Cummins on W80 mix in single digit temps without issues fwiw.

    WMO RIG PROBLEMS

We have one of the HF pumps, not good for anything but light fuel transfer. It won't pump cold WMO without a filter on it, can't imagine how bad it would be with a filter. I use a HF water pump for pushing through my filters, it works pretty well. Not super fast, but fast enough. Pry takes 20...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Truck is back together and running. Recently rebuilt motor out of a parts truck. Runs great. Smoke at cold idle is what I would consider acceptable, warm idle is basically non existent. World of a difference better than my old motor. This is all on my W80 blend. Old motor is torn down, lots of...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Truck should be up and running again within the next 2-3 weeks. I miss driving it! Roommate's 12v has been doing well driving on our W80ish mix with stale gas. Been eyeing 80s Mercedes to replace my Focus daily driver... lots of good deals on Craiggers!!

    W80: keeping it mixed

For the sake of keeping this thread slightly true to title, it does appear that mixing the oil/gas mix thoroughly yields a consistent mixture even after sitting for two weeks. Few pics of my filtering setup: Storage: Initial filters: Pump filter setup: (details earlier in thread)...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Got the heater plumbed back in. Seemed to be running good. Then got home and found coolant streaming out of the block (head gasket.) So this will probably be my last update for a while :(

My first filtration rig... wmo processor

Just started from the beginning, good read. I have a similar idea for picking up raw oil. Thanks for the big block pump idea! May try that if I can't get the HF diesel pump to do what we need. I'm surprised the 2um filter was letting visible chunks of metal through. Seems suspicious... but also...

    W80: keeping it mixed

My Cummins had a good Christmas! GSK and 191 delivery valves! Definitely going to get the heat exchanger going again as soon as I have time when I get home. As I look down the road to injectors, do people have good luck running higher pop injectors with alt fuels? Slightly larger orifices...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Single tank. Really trying to follow the KISS theory, especially on the truck itself. I'm sure there is some coking happening and that's what's causing my white smoke. I think for now, I'm going to try plugging it in overnight before I plan to drive it and I really wanna try that heater again...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Maybe I should just turn this into a thread to document my experiences and processing methods. People who want to hear about it! My gf and roomies think its cool, but are probably sick of hearing about it haha. This is all in a 95 12v Cummins. Stock 175hp p-pump. 5spd, HX35 turbo, 4" exhaust...

    W80: keeping it mixed

Outside temps have been as low as the teens outside in the morning, but I assume you mean where I'm processing. In my garage where were all setup, I bet its about 60*.

    W80: keeping it mixed

My process: Go to gas station and get proper amount of gas for batch size I plan to make. (or currently I pump out one of the barrels of stale gas I scored.) Dump 5 gallons of oil through 5/1 micron sock filters into barrel. Dump in an amount of gas that seems proportional. Stir...

    W80: keeping it mixed

I have been stirring the blend throughout the process of adding WMO and gas. Seems much better now. Simple fixes!

    W80: keeping it mixed

WMO gets dumped through 5 and 1 micron socks, gas is added during this step. After settling for a few days, oil gets pumped from the bottom of the barrel through a Caterpillar 2 micron spin on into the clean, truck ready tank barrel.

    W80: keeping it mixed

I started off dumping in my WMO in my settling tank and dumping in the RUG, assuming it would diffuse. After allowing a few days to settle, I found the last few gallons were thin... As if the gas just stayed on top. So I started adding 5gal WMO then some gas, then more WMO and more gas until the...

New 12v WMO user in CT

New Cummins 12v WMO User Hi all, I find myself here a lot after Googling WMO stuff and have learned quite a bit from you guys. Thought I'd finally join up. I have a 1995 2500 Ram. 4x4 5spd. Took me a while to find this truck in my price range, and honestly I probably ended up in the price...
