    It would NOT be a good idea to take apart your IP. This is a very precise pump with specific timing. If you think the IP is bad you could contact a reputable rebuilder. There are a couple here.

    Arizona "But it is DRY heat!" It is still HOT. I went to the UofA in Tucson back in the late 1960s and 70s. I went to Houston, TX around the same time and I felt the difference between DRY heat and Texan heat. Like getting out of a hot ****** shower.

    They maybe reliable but accurate? NO! What does Hot mean? 200 degrees or 220 degrees? This is why I always use after market gauges. Whose gauges is your call.

    Oil Pressure, Water Temperature are the main two that you should have. Voltage is one you can choose if towing might cause an electrical issue.

    One more thing to check; the pinon shaft and the tranny output shaft should be at the same angle (approximately). Shim the axle up or down using wedge shims.

    I was working on a framing job and one of the workers shot his foot to the sub flooring. We called the fire dept and they came out and we all struggled to get the nail up enough to cut it off with a SAWZALL. The worker was screaming his lungs out!!!!

    YES 3/4 inch toe in is too much. I remember setting my F-350 4X4 to 1/8 to 1/4 inch toe in. Death wobble can be the result.

    You wrote "it doesn’t have any resistance" that means zero ohms or a short. The starter is your problem.

    You have a short in the starting system. Check the starter for zero or low ohm. OR have the parts store check it out.

    You have found the "Eternal HOT wire"! This wire makes electrical current to run things. Nobody knows how or why! When you find "THE WIRE" you should be able to make a fortune by copying it.:D:p:cool::eek:

    You will need a temp gauge to see if you are running cool enough. With that aluminum radiator you should have no problem.

    You can bolt it to anything that is cast iron on the motor. Not a valve cover or any other sheet metal.
