Thanks a ton! Yes I am on stock body mounts, a body I'm sure would help immensely fitting a larger turbo like the he351ve, the adapter from t3 to the he351ve would help as well, might be tricky to get it on the ATS drain pedestal at that point. As far as the turnout on the compressor housing...
Oh there's no doubt, one of my buddys street drives his 1000 horse 12 valve, but its not very streetABLE. Whereas a 1000 horse Duramax for example has no problem running to the grocery store
Yep, 750hp 6.4 TOW RIG with an enclosed trailer, following a 1200hp Duramax race truck. The Duramax got better mileage even, tuning is a wonderful thing.
Of course there is no comparison to an N/A IDI to a Powerstroke towing :shaking: hang a decent turbo on an IDI against a stock Stroker and pull the same hill and it might be a little more fair.
Yea I have to lift the 205 under my 79 with a floor jack, I can one hand this Borg Warner up. When I started my teardown the tranny mount nuts werent exactly "tight" so that may have something to do with it. That linkage towcat posted definitely isn't the one I have
Even with splits the extra fuel will help, those are very close to Superduty injectors as Im sure you know and a tuned Superduty is a decent mover. The .84 exhaust housing helps too.
Good deal, I found a guy locally who I cant believe I didnt think of before who has a gold mine of Ford drivetrain parts. He has a few he said plus complete trans an case combos. Meeting up with him on Friday after I pull mine all apart to make sure I get the right one.
Thanks a lot! Theres been a lot of talk about HX35s and the like on this forum including my own the last couple years. Just hope my troubles and experience can help someone when it comes time for them to do it!
38mm gate, welded into the crossover under the truck. I wasnt paying enough attention when I mounted it and it hangs way lower than I would like. It flows enough air that I dont get boost creep. It flows a lot of air though, the rush is deafening if it opens at high RPM again a retaining wall or...
I have one made by Actron, has similar features to the ones posted. I like mine, can use it like a typical old timing light, if an engine is really out of time you can dial it one way or the other to at least get a visible mark and see how far off you are, also shows RPM. Mine claims it can be...
Mine is definitely the z-bar then, I vividly recall popping out the ball and socket joint from the long link piece. The first style I dont see the ball and socket joint. I really dont think mine has the two bolts on the bracket to adapter but Im still waiting on pictures. Since I dont have a...
Yep, both of us rowing manual transmissions, I think my shifting helped a lot. His has a TS 6 pos with 4 inch exhaust and a cold air intake of some sort. I also have an HY35 on mine which spools very quickly and if I grab gears fast enough dont lose any noticeable boost between shifts.
Noe that I googled a 1345 shift linkage I think I may have been thinking of the wrong thing. Im pretty sure the shift actuator on the case is a lever. I asked my buddy to take a picture of the linkage and where it mounts on the adapter when he gets home since its at his house, I already unbolted...
Odd, it was there this morning and last night, someone even made a comment on my sig pic in my help needed thread.. ill have to check when I'm not on my phone.
That would be awesome for those measurements! you guys are a huge help! Also the BW that's on there is not the original case, although I'm pretty sure the one I pulled off of it originally was a BW too, but who knows if that was even the original in the trucks 28 year life
