Searched but cant find my answer, Comp 910s

Alright guys, getting ready to pick up my head studs and valve springs in the next couple of days, Comp 910 as the title says. Been searching to try and find the procedure for changing the springs without pulling the heads, seems I saw somewhere once that you could bring the piston for a given...

Do you start in first or second? T19s behind the diesel dont have a granny low, its an actual useable first gear

Generally the factory turbo trucks had a small "TURBO DIESEL" emblem on the fender, who kows if it might be missing though

Rear area leak in Borg Warner T18/T19 transmission

I always use rtv on the transfer case side. Ive only had the housing off the trans once and used a paper gasket on that side. Luckily you have a line on a spare housing, I broke all four tabs off mine and it was a pain to find one

    Help identifying Autometer tach

This is hooked to the stator and set by ear kinda. With my 3.55s and 35 inch tires its at 2000rpm at 60 so I must have got close http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid135.photobucket.com/albums/q139/BigDaddyHyde/VIDEO0079_zpsf1073e25.mp4

    Help identifying Autometer tach

So cut the white/black wire from the old sensor and connected it to the stator on my 3g alt. Bam working tach, seems accurate from idle-governor. Once I find a handheld optical tach locally I'll dial it in a little better.

I did exactly that a little while ago, got nothing. Investigated a little and both wires are broke away from the sensor windings

    Help identifying Autometer tach

Thanks MIDNIGHT RIDER, this sender is very corroded looking so I'm doubtful it will even work. But it was free so I won't complain. As far as calibration, use an optical tach, timing light with rpm readout or somethin like a tiny tach

    hy35 an upgrade?

I can hit 1200 if I try hard enough empty on flat ground, like 0-85mph. Towing is all egt limited, 16k gross on a 6% grade I can do 55-60 holding it at 1200

    hy35 an upgrade?

I don't have a tach yet, hopefully picking one up tonight actually. It hits 10 fast though. Trying to decide how high I want to go after the studs are in. Guess ill see where it chokes when I get the valve springs and gov spring in. Edit: if it chokes off bad with more fuel even with my...

    hy35 an upgrade?

See Sig, I love my HY35. Studs and springs are ordered, also ordering air/water intercooler this week. Will be dynoing in September. I'm already out of fuel though even at 10psi. Edit, if I can figure out how to run a 4" downpipe I'd like to run an HE351, slightly bigger compressor than the HY35

    Introducing MOOSE BOOST!

Those are all good points Mel. I chose a Holset because they are tough, it was a fairly easy setup, and Cummins take offs are everywhere for cheap. Oh and it works awesome!

    Introducing MOOSE BOOST!

Pretty cool and good lookin product! Can't wait for Heath to report. Better than a Holset is a big claim, they are some tough turbos! (While I'm somewhat serious I'm mostly just ribbing ya)

mech temp gauge installed, 210 is normal right?

I wonder if my thermostat is missing/stuck open. I see a max of 160 summertime running hard. Towing hard ive seen 220. My old 6.9 would run 200-210 all the time

    This weekend its finally time

I'm not sure what they are calling it but the one racin has, mostly for the dynamic compression bleedoff. Edit: I'll also be running a 4500 rpm governor spring, the cam should help at the higher rpm. That spring should really help the big 2-3 shift gap towing.

    This weekend its finally time

All that room behind the engine would help a lot. I can't wait for studs, if anybody would buy my dang Mustang they are sitting on the shelf at Alligator waiting for me even! I plan to bump boost to 20, as it is the turbo is barely working, the wastegate is open almost all the time under WOT. 20...
