    Thinking of building a trailer

What we did for a deck, this is on the F350, but the principle is the same, only 10 screws to hold deck down, eliminated a lot of drilling, also makes it easy to remove for service/repair. used 5/16 FHCS and 1/4x3 HR bar stock. We inset the bar stock, in the front we welded angle across so that...

Freeze plug tool. Order one or make it yourself?

Thanks knuckledragger, the print floating around here of the tool doesn't show the reduced end dia. or the flat on the radius end, I just made up some and did leave a flat, it would be dead sharp otherwise, common sense here, your right, no black magic in these tools as long as the length...

    Freeze plug tools available.

Renting them a possibility, they are heat treated so they will take the abuse of rental and a greasy hand dropping it . lol Manual turning, radius is CNC. Yea,its been difficult coming up with a price, may revisit it. Try to be fair with all.

    Gauge install advice needed.

11/32 drill for 1/8 tap is correct without reaming, however drilling with hand held drill in less then ideal situation will tend to make an oversize hole, leading to have to tap deeper with npt tap, you would be better off with a 5/16 drill or smaller first, then correct size after, hole will be...

    2wd Tire Question

on my 2wd F150 I run snows in the winter (Blizzaks) they do stop on ice and snow better, not to mention going better, with no extra weight. Feel stopping most important! 5 winters on them so far not much tread left now, guess they have special rubber, bites better when cold, would never use any...

I also need one, and plan to make several when I do. I can build these, but I'm busy in my shop now, like they say more $$ if you need it now. 260 seems a little high, 150 would be a fair price, especially if its harden.

    Autolites, yuck.

Good job, Yea feels good when you get one out that's stuck, number 1 on mine was broke off, autolite also, was able to drill guts out and tap it for #8 screw then used a slide hammer, with gentle taps it eventually came out, if it was one of the back ones, never would have gotten it out.

    Dead Pyro?

http://thesensorconnection.com/category/egt-probes/all-egt-probes/diesel check these out, seem to be a heavy duty TC, better construction then most gage companys supplied TCs, US made also, you can get either normal response time, commercial duty, or motorsports fast response, commercial ones...

    Gauge install advice needed.

If you drill from the bottom, for your pyro, more of the drill fines will fall out rather then into your manifold, cast iron makes more powder then a stringy chips which is the lesser of the two evils,(as far as getting into your turbo) attach a strong magnet if you have one near where you drill...

    My CDR delete attempt.

So 87 has unknown miles, burns and leaks fair amount of oil, so I decided to look at CDR while changing air filter, It looks original (grey paint) and not full of crud, so decided to remove it and try running without it. Plugging the intake hole easy enough, but attaching a hose or pipe to...
