    Fan clutch upgrade...

Interesting, my son put a 7.3 fan clutch on his 6.0 with an adapter from bullet proof diesel, his 6.0 wiring/clutch failed and clutch was twice the cost of a new 7.3 clutch, his temps and mileage same, been 2 years and around 50k, he says he's ready for a new one again.

Fuel tank vent & shower head

All NPT pipe threads seal by crushing, interference fit. NPTF just does it with less threads, used in shorter spaces used when you dont have enough room for a complete NPT tap. In the old days before pipe sealants they used red lead on pipe fittings, it is a lubricant, the lubricant is used to...

I would do SOME kind of strainer, or put a T on it, had some tank lining come off a restored tank in a gasser, floated around in there like latex paint pieces, idled fine and up to a certain RPM then cough sputter, replaced all the lines and filter, after all new tune up parts! anything gets in...

    NP 271 TC interchange

looks the same size .75 dia. .375 across flats, but manual has 3/8 stud sticking out you bolt arm to, so you would have to tack the arm to keep it from falling off, That bracket you show in first/top pic, that has the slots, the pin that follows those slots is what broke on our lever causing our...

    NP 271 TC interchange

Our manual TC shift rod coming out of the case has 3/8 flats on the rod, shift arm attached with a nut, i would guess with motor unit off its the same, I know there are some internal differences and the case has tapped holes to mount motor, other then that would think TCs would interchange...

    Manual shift transfer case

Should be a NP 271, we just changed ours out in a 99 SD, but it was manual shift, see my post 4R100 trans problem, our linkage/shift lever came off, small pin on pivot broke off, allowed lever to slide off, caused shift fork to wear out, was low on fluid also, all else looked ok, bearing, chain...

Will a NP 273 motorized TC work in a manual truck?, more of these around and cheaper, assume we would just take motor off and hook up manual linkage, range fork on our 271 wore out, linkage came apart,( see my 4r100 trans problem post) Know we have to have same spline count 31 in this case...
