    Yeah, it seems that all the old Navistar V8s acquired some blowby. Every IDI I've looked at has had some, and plenty of 7.3 powerstrokes as well. IDI's typically ran with more, I'd guess because of their high compression. Mine has it like a steaming kettle pot, so I'm running a Banks CDR adapter...

    Well I think you don't have to change the dipstick or its mount. I'm putting an ATS kit on my 87 6.9 and instead of replacing the passenger side valve cover with the turbo valve cover that the glow plug controller mounts to I will just move my glow plug controller to behind the passenger side...

    So my kit lacks a crossover pipe to join the up pipe to the turbo, is it possible to use the existing NA driver side crossover pipe and clamp on a flex pipe to be clamped to a ball joint clamp that goes onto the turbo up pipe?

    Ohhhhhh... so just lengthen the brown wire that goes to the left hand/driver side glow plugs, bolt the controller behind the battery, and it should be good. What type of wire did you splice in to lengthen it?

    A used ATS isn't too bad, just make sure you can get the 2 piece up pipe apart before hand. I've already broken a rubber mallet and used a can of WD40!
