Thank you guys for the advice. I'm looking at a 3.5" drop pitman from customsuspension or maybe just a 4" drop pitman from T@$$ Country. I'm definitely not driving it until I alleviate this terrible alignment. At full droop with these springs the brake lines are still loose, yet I'll probably...
So after installing my new 2" lifted front springs & 2" drop brackets for my 87 6.9 IDI single cab to level the truck it appears we have a problem. Being that the rear was 3.5+" higher than the front I did not expect to sit now 1.5" higher in the front than in the rear.
It also appears that...

I used a CX racing H1C on my 6.9idi for a while before I destroyed the seals due to being an idiot and using tiny oil feed restrictor made for a ball bearing turbo. I ended up rebuilding my stock turbo and somehow I'm still leaking from the oil drain! (Time for a hammer and a...
Okay so it's a 1987 6.9 IDI 4x4, singlecab. I'm just asking if the 4" block for the newer 1999-2010 F250s will fit in place of my current 2" block. Thank you, I updated my status I believe.
So I lifted the 87 6.9 two inches with tuff country springs and drop brackets. The lift actually seems to be around 3.5" raising the front from 5.5-6" to 9-10" from the top of the tire to wheel well. So now it seems I'm about level if not slightly above the rear. So while looking for blocks I...
Alright, so there are four bolts that bolt the turbo to the up pipe. I don't know if they are covered by the factory aluminum shielding though. Then there are two bolts that mount the oil drain, that's where the CDR used to be. Unbolt those too. Then you've got the V Band clamp to the downpipe...
Hi everyone, I just received my new CHRA setup to rebuild my factory turbo on my 6.9 IDI. The new part came with a rubber gasket/ O ring that seems to fit the compressor indent for fitting. Just seeing if it is needed or if all theses turbos come with it. Also, if I use a braided oil feed line...
The numbers I got were when driving. If you just rev it it won't create much if any boost until the rpms go down and the turbo hasn't slowed; then you may get 1-2 psi.
Alright man, the pump is turned up only about 1/2 and I achieved about a whopping 2psi at near 2,000 to 2,200 rpm. I think the 18cm housing is just too big. I do have the stock Garrett ready though.
Love the truck, man! Also I'll second doing the Banks downpipe upgrade, it let's the truck vent the exhaust much more efficiently than the stock, crimped one.
