    It almost sounds like it’s too advanced... do you still have connection to that two prong sensor for cold idle advance? I forgot to plug it back in after tuning the pump and it smoked a ton from being warm, yet still running the advance.

    If the pump is original, it could be wearing down and perhaps causing retarded timing. Don’t advance too much, too much timing will cause rough idling and smoke as well... (white and black) the typical culprit is fuel smoke from timing or injector wear. Be sure it’s burning oil before you go...

    Axle sanded down for rust, painted with POR-15. Two coats, and “Kubota” orange on the axle cover. Still waiting for the carrier shims before I put my powertrax grip loc in! Lots of work, but it looks so good!

    The idle sounds loud and healthy as it is, but I still have slight bits of smoke here and there. Could it be a sign of too much advance? If not, what are the typical signs of too much advance from your experience if you know.

    Thank y’all for setting me straight! I found two Dana 60s, one a 95 and one a 97 for sale. Only drawback is they have a 3:55 gear ratio where I have a 4:10. So the plan is to scoop one up, prep it, swap the ratio, order in an RSK, and then tackle the project in one swoop.
