    idi lift pump

If you have the funds to buy a facet Duralift electric pump, I would buy that. Very durable and the even have their own filter. In the IDI tech articles there is an article to convert to this electric pump.

    7.3 idi coolant, cavitation questions

Honestly, I would just go look for caterpillar elc(300,000 mile) coolant it has everything you need, other options fleetcharge/fleet guard I think, and cummins coolant. I think you can find fleet charge/fleet guard at napa if I can remember right. If you do stop by napa pick up a coolant...

    7.3 IDI Injectors/Injection Pump Question?

I have a set of injectors from him and they work great.

    Hot start problems

If I were you I would take your truck back to the shop and have them either fix the problem at no cost, or you need a refund. I don't know much about or anything at all about injection pumps, but when someone "rebuilds" an injection pump or anything at all for that matter it should be like new...

    7.3 oil leak

If it leaks onto the starter it's most likely coming from your cdr( tuna can, ) behind the intake, being over 20 years old the seals or hoses are probably bad.

    engine swap

The air lines to the injection pump is for the c6 transmission, the new engine came from a e4od(wires on the injection pump), all you have to do is to is swap the sensor(with the air lines) to the new engine. It's easy 2 small torx bits and it's off, just make sure to take a picture of how the...

    7.3 idi charging

To charge the batteries full or enough to start in the morning you need to take her for a drive, for about 15 min, maybe longer since you have two batteries. I'm no electrician but I hate bad wiring, when I got my truck from the previous owner I had your same issue with batteries draining, he...

    bad cdr valve?

I bought my cdr from my local international dealer(there pretty knowledgeable about the old idi's), I think it was $120 originally but after some haggling he let it go for $70. My original engine had so much blow by through the intake would have a pool of oil in it every time I pulled it. My...

    $4000 for an engine install?

Well, I was on my way to pick up the trailer and my steering box decided to puke power steering fluid, so I'm out, I called another shop in Bellingham and they wanted to charge 3500. I called pascal to let him know the situation. Is there anyone else nearby who could help pascal.

    E4od issue

I changed the rear differential fluid with some valvoline 85w-140 limited slip oil, and it was much easier filling the rear differential through the vss port. I filled the rear differential a little too full on accident but after a short drive around the block, I let the excess drain.

    E4od issue

Yes I got the cap out, but it was a huge pain in the butt, the new vss wouldn't fit until I removed the cap. I think my issue now is the o-ring around the vss is slightly too large and will not completely sit inside the rear differential(causing the 60 mph speed bounce). Could I clean the hole...

    E4od issue

So i set the new tps to .85 from 1.2 and it's much better , but now I have a bouncy speedometer at about 40 mph even after a new vss, I bought one from a local parts store, could too much oil in the Rear differential cause this or is it just a bad part, I did drain out some excess but it...

    E4od issue

When I pulled the sensor out, I got real nervous because I saw the the coil and the magnet. I re installed the new speed sensor, and I figured why don't I open up the rear differential and change the fluid out. I saw that I have a sterling 10.5 limited slip and some really nasty fluid came out.

    E4od issue

So I removed the speed sensor and it came apart on removal and I think there is a still a part of the sensor still in , and which one of these is the right one

    E4od issue

Yes the tach is functional and spot on with no wobbling. Icanfixall mentioned the speed sensor in a pm that if it's wobbly at all it could also cause issues, my speedometer is accurate but at 55 - 60 mph it's a little wobbly.

    bad cdr valve?

There is a procedure using a monometer I think that will show you if your cdr is bad. Others will chime in and have a link on how check to see if your cdr is bad. How many miles are on your engine, and last I checked fordpartsgiant.com has the cheapest price for a cdr valve for $50

    E4od issue

I checked the original and it came up as 0.9 but will install the new sensor

    E4od issue

Thanks Icanfixall, when they said it could have been a "coincidence" that the transmission would act up all of a sudden after changing the engine, that really mad me mad when they wouldn't pull the codes and not at least check the tps/fipl sensor, and it was a mechanical issue that they had to...

    E4od issue

So I took my Truck into aamco to have them check the Transmission, and to see if they can adjust my Tps sensor because the truck would shift a little later than did with the previous engine and they said there was all sorts of leaks and they need to take the transmission out. Wtf there is no...

7.3 turbo idi engine and other parts

Bump long block still available I would like the long block to go to someone on the forum, instead of the scrap yard, I can deliver within reasonable distance for the cost of fuel or maybe timing my engine

Where could it be coming from?

Your Fuel water separator is on the bottom of you fuel filter or at least it's supposed to be.
  24. C_Luft

Where could it be coming from?

Start checking for leaks at the frame mounted fuel line right next to the fuel pump and then work your way from the fuel pump up to the fuel filter housing, after that check the connections at the injection pump. Also check your Fuel/water separator drain on the bottom of the fuel filter...

    $4000 for an engine install?

Yea there definitely taking you for a ride, just two weeks ago I got a quote from nw powerstroke(vancouver, wa), they quoted me 900 to 1300 at most for a engine swap(but I swapped it myself, and this is the same engine too.
