    Thanks, I will give that a try, thought about mixing up concoction and pouring in glow plug hole and let sit overnight like used to do with gas engines but wasn't sure not much on working on diesels have been gasoline mech all my life but learning a lot about diesels now.

    Ran compression check this morning with # 2,4,6,1,3,7,@ 400 psi,#8@ 390psi, #5@340psi, is that enough differance to indicate a problem in #5 cylinder?

    Found where oil was coming from on turbo today,oil sending unit leaking, seems to be hardly any play in turbo shaft. Pulled a valve cover to see if gummed up,was clean. started it this morning and ran for 45 min. before it started smoking. checked all fuel lines for heat at injectors all normal...
