So what did you do with your truck today?

Used a bfh to reduce a big ass dent down to a little ass dent in the tailgate. Least it closes correctly now. Began work on the double din install. Hope to post a write up when finished, been taking pics along the way.

So what did you do with your truck today?

Washed the truck as someone had too much time on their hands and egged it. Tinted the windows in the cap so hooligans can't see into the back.

So what did you do with your truck today?

All new steering components ie tie rod ends, sleeves, drag link and center link. That funny scissor looking ball joint separator is worth its weight in gold. Didn't start out that way but as old rusted crap stripped and broke, well, you know the drill. Replaced busted t handle on truck...

Paint the truck cap or leave it - poll

Picked up this beaut of a truck cap for a steal off Facebook. It's just about as old as my truck, so old the manufacturer had to dig up the paper archives to find any info about it. I dig the faded tan color but am toying with the notion of painting black to match the truck. What do you guys...

Getting by with one battery in summer?

Ah. That makes sense. Good info. I'm pretty sure those are the ones I have. Work for my hunting truck.

Getting by with one battery in summer?

I use the Walmart Maxx Everstart batteries which I believe are made by either Exide or Delphi now. Admittedly I don't drive my truck every day but it gets down to the teens sometimes where I live and my truck starts every time without being plugged in without issue.

    Quick Glow Plug Relay/Controller Question

@thevanbulance : The link you posted to the diesel hub, check the paragraph below the diagram of the relay, if I recall correctly it tells you what voltages you should be seeing at the relay. I generally get 12ish at the constant hot post and 11.7ish at the bus bar /switched post. I get 10ish...

Getting by with one battery in summer?

I unknowingly ran my truck for about 5 months on one battery. Whilst working on the battery cables one day the positive post on the drivers battery came right out the battery like it was cool and the inside of the battery was bone dry. My truck still started just fine. As others have said...

94 F250, Bad sending unit, bad selector valve or something else?

So I haven't had time to work on the truck for awhile, finally got time and got her started. New lift pump, new fuel filter, did the fuel heater/water in filter sensor delete, new lift pump fuel line and filter head to ip line. Had the fuel tank switch on the front tank which is full. Cracked...

    Glow Plug Leak

I'm no expert, just getting that out there. Could be a hairline crack? Did you recently overheat the truck? If you have a caliper pull the glow plug and see if the seat is perfectly flat, maybe it warped a bit. Did you clean the seat area around the glow plug? Also, double check connections...

    Thoughts on potential truck purchase.

Yeah the sunroof would bug me too. Seems like it has some good stuff. The cold start isn't so much to determine if it will start in cold weather, but if it will start at all. Sometimes a seller will mask a difficult cold start by warming the truck up. That'll take care of air intrusion issues...

    Inner fenders

^^^^^this. Those mojos are thicc. I just pulled my passenger side one. Also, the Rusty screws is very accurate. I'd bring a cut off tool. My fronts were completely rusted to the core support, had to cut them off.

My truck loves me so much she won’t let me out!

The metal beneath the handle where it attaches has probably fatigued and bent. Happens over time. Or the cable has stretched. Or both. You can reinforce the attachment point, check out here...

So what did you do with your truck today?

Removed the passenger side fender liner which took 3 hours as every. single. bolt was rusted into a lump including the ones that secure the liner to the core support. Had to remove the batree tray to get access and those bolts were rusted up too. Next up, lift pump removal.

    Thoughts on potential truck purchase.

Yeah that's about a $6kish truck where I live. Agreed with other poster, dumping 7k into a truck doesn't mean you get that back. I'd be looking at receipts, ip replaced but not injectors? If it was supposed owned by a diesel mechanic they'd know to do both. Still, from the pics the engine bay...

94 NA, changed starter, cranks won't start - Update

Ok so here's where I'm at, sorry for the delay been raining then sick: Checked FSS, got the click and good voltage. Load tested batteries, batteries good. Tried to start her again, just lots of cranking and not even an attempt. Puff fizz at the Schrader valve. Thought huh and pulled the...
