Well since Ive moved I needed a truck to be able to make some long trips back and forth.... after the fiasco with another CCLB i bought I ended up with this truck...
I bought it from Tjsea's dad. its an 87 CCLB DRW 2WD had a 7.3 swapped in and was converted to a ZF5. body has some minor...
i would look to see how much tongue weight that trailer will be when loaded and see where that would put you with the truck... combined load on an F350 is only 11,000 lbs basically. the most you can register an F350 is 11k.
Educate me more on how the 3208 pump advance works....any pics or breakdowns of the pump? Ive been curious on what it would take to put one on our engines
well all i can say what i wrote is my personal opinion and not 100% known fact of what international actually did, I can say that I am definitely qualified to comment. I have been involved in engineering and design going on 8+ years and have used FEA for failure analysis and understand that it...
well...they are in the game to make winning motors and sell products and services. charity is a poor business to be in when it comes to the diesel world. and i agree on the new owner....shame on him? maybe... but its hard to say that without knowing his side of things.... plenty of other builds...
This is true to a point... it also has a lot to do with the structure of the head and where internal ribs and supports are located as well as cross sectional thickness in parts of the head. keep in mind the 6.9/7.3's were designed with calculators and sliderules. the newer stuff was probably...

the manifolds turn out a bit so they CAN be used....should they be is a question i cant answer. custm fabbed headers deff open up flexibility in the placement of the turbo and pipes a bit more...
quite frankly you have to pay to play. this type of stuff costs money. you might luck out and find a used kit (nothing wrong with that btw) for cheaper....but for new quality parts its well worth it. i only paid $2000 for my truck...but yet i will have more then that into the engine when I'm...
while that is a valid question that i am sure agnem will answer let me temper this response... I dont know what Mel's price is but keep in mind that the big three kits (banks, hypermax, ats) were all over $2,000.
the old BAE systems kit kind of did that. Only they mounted the turbo just above the steering shaft and it was tiny. I had an 85 6.9 with that system. Personally i did not like it. I felt that the way the downpipe had bee run it caused issues with my brake system. cooking the fluid and ruining...
i think its more like gitterdun and shipper quick!... thats one heck of a prize for the post office! might even be considered a biological weapon depending on what you had the night before...
ok ill stop now...:rotflmao
