dont ever lube a column with anti seize.... just had to replace the column in my truck due to a PO using anti seize on everything. it gummed it up so bad it stripped both gears in behind the tumbler
the column i just rebuilt i lubed it with a dupont teflon spray.... -2 and it still turns very nice. it goes on liquid like wd40 but drys to a thin film.
2 sets of 7.3 connecting rods - $50 + shipping per set
2wd ZF5 transmission. 100-150k not exactally sure as im not sure when it was put in. It was purchased new from ZF for an auto to manual conversion. shifts great no issues. only swapped due to 4x4 conversion - $500 pickup only

i have had very good luck with SEM rust shield. passed the same 1000hr salt spray test that POR did and its half the price. summit sells it. ive used both SEM and POR and have had good results from both.
im looking at those right now. you can buy them cheaper on ebay. the seller i am looking at claims he sells the crimp tool but doesnt have them in his store so i emailed him.
I am having some issues with the wiring on my 87 f350 (go figure HA!) and the two connecters next to the column that connect the dash harness to the chassis harness are corroded and have casings coming off the wires. I have no problem replacing them with something else but what would you guys...

there is my thread... i didnt go into full detail but you can see the differences. the front of the frame rails are different though from an 87 to a 93. the 92+ trucks have corrugations on the front frame...
its not quite that easy....if your truck is a 2wd then you are coil spring in the front. you will need to remove the 2wd axle...all the suspension components as well as the coil buckets and pivot brackets from the frame.

well the past 2 weeks i was finally able to get back to the truck. since i had to remove the crumbling vinyl flooring so i could do some light rust repair i decided to replace it with a new carpet from ACC. I purchased it through rockauto for around $275. I bought the 100% nylon w/ mass backing...

the relief in the top of the pistons are not for the valves on an IDI piston. Its a swirl chamber for combustion. the divit in the middle is for the injection cycle out of the pre-cup.
the powerstroke piston has a big dimple/indent directly in the center...
my truck came from tjsea's dad who used it as a hot shot hauler...and was also a ford diesel tech when they were new and basically said the same thing...the idi NEVER left him stranded on the side of the road. he was always able to make on the fly quick repairs to get him home.
