I used to do porting on all the 5.0 stangs I meddled with back in the day and got pretty decent at it and understanding what needed to be done. How beneficial is it on our trucks? Mostly for highly modded rigs or is there any benefit to a truck with a few bolt ons and stock pump?
About how far does the gauge stick out? I am extremely anal about that sort of thing but really like these gauges. Looks great there as long as it doesn't stick out too far.

I was looking into this one but cant figure out a good mounting location, I figured it was the best one for the money , I also dig the old school digital look it gives.
Started the push lok injector pump feed line install and my cute 12 week old malinois pup distracted me , i cut the damn hose too short so gunna pick up some more push lok hose today and finish it up.
I agree a hundred percent! I do not pull with my truck. I use it as a home owners truck , occasional trailer being pulled once or twice a year. I love looking at dynographs where all the power is made for a whopping 700 rpms and isn't usable at all.
So ive been toying with the idea of pulling the motor in my truck over next summer while I can drive something else (the trucks a necessity during the winter months up here) and "building it" its only got 117k on it no and I project itll have around 123k at the most by July.
Using the factory...
The relay clicks , the wait to start light turns on with key on and immediately turns off. Occasionally when the truck is "warm" the wts light stays on for 2 Mississippi's and then shuts off.
I should have said "controller" not relay as I think the relay is working properly.
I don’t know much on the cap but I’ll try and find out. The kit was $55 hrs on the fb idi enthusiast page he sells a steel braided kit for 105 I think, I am a little tight on cash as we just got a house, a puppy, and the truck nickle n dimed me on this project so
I opted for the push lok kit.
Glowplug relay started acting funny this morning. So I guess I’ll be buying one of those.
Last night ran awesome and I ran out of fuel on the test drive, reprimed it today n it seems like I’m getting air in the system again as I’m getting white smoke when giving it throttle as well as a little...
Water pump went much better second time around. Plugs were supplied not already driven in with blue loctite.
New glow plugs and refurb on the gp harness done.
Water pump and thermostat done
New belt done
Most of the coolant is out
Just need to plug in the feed line for the facet pump...
Thanks man, top of the cap is bowing in from previous owner leaving snow on top of it all winter (truck hasn't seen a winter since it was restored). Nobody notices but me though :)
