So if the biodiesel oil reacts with “ferrous metals and copper and brass” within the injection system, than why is it being sold commercially?
I have talked to Mel @ Conestoga Diesel about this topic and his injection pumps are warranted for biodiesel. Viton o-rings are key when running...
Then you probably aren’t getting the full output of that “so called” 90cc pump. Turn the pump up a flat or two and see how it performs. Everything you have mentioned tells me our engine can use more fuel.
Has your engine been timed??
All it takes is about 5% bio fuel to give these injection pumps and injectors more than enough lube. You should be fine running a tank of b99. It’ll also clean things up pretty good. Used to run Flying J b20 in my rig so I wouldn’t have to put any fuel additives in tanks. Ran pretty good on the...
Do not put a spectre filter on your truck unless you don’t mind gobs of dirt entering into your engine, and ruining your turbo wheel. We had this discussion a few years back.
Ask Idioit, as he’s the first one to encounter this problem. Couldn’t have come at a better time because I was about to...
You’ve answered your own question in the first post. Like everyone else has said, it’s your rear light bulbs.
Keep these trucks basic without the eye glitter and they will work well for ya.
It happens, especially in the winter when fuel tanks are low and vehicles/tractors sit for a while. Tanks tend to sweat and moisture builds up. Typically nothing that a fuel filter w/ water separator & some iso-heet can’t take care of though.
Why do you need to keep boost under 10psi? The entire goal of a turbo is to make as much boost as you can! You can safely max out at around 13psi without an intercooler. Of course you need a large enough turbo to supply the air.
Anything above that requires an intercooler because air charge...
And sticky valves. My yj has a new engine in it, but the brainless PO that I bought it from didn’t change the oil since he replaced engine......which was 4 years ago and 6k miles. Needless to say, it took a couple flushes for oil to not dirty up right away.
And the engine always ran rough when...
I would dump 2 quarts marvel mystery oil in engine and leave it in. That stuff really works. I run it in all my vehicles & small engines. Added to both the fuel and oil.

Not worth it imo. A tire that pops can make you lose control of your vehicle and/or ruin your fenders. Not to mention put others in danger if you do end up losing control. If you tow frequently, I would definately ditch that idea.
Best to buy new tires if you can afford it.
Buy an injection pump from Russ aka typ4, Mel aka Agnem @ Conestoga Diesel, or R & D idi performance.
If you buy a pump from anywhere else, you can expect it to be a POS.
After all the headache I’ve had with buying a rebuilt engine online and it being a piece of crap, I would personally rebuild what you have now....for a couple reasons.
It may be cheaper going that route depending on what shape your engine is in.
Also, a good machine shop will let you know if...
It’s probably the tachometer sensor that’s on top of the IP gear tower. Mine did the same thing years ago. Wouldn’t be accurate when cold but would be good once engine warmed up.
A new sensor fixed that.
