Oil leak!!!! Bad CDR?
Glad you poked holes. Next step might be (without catching things on fire) to put some kind of rag or paper between the turbo and valley to exclude things. Maybe just idle the truck and wait for a drip.- reset2

Did I miss it in one of your post? Can you remember if you punched holes in the valley pan for the new turbo install. Oil would tend to build up in that area an leak out.- reset2

Got most all packed (thanks to my wife). Had to install a mini split at my uncles house. Start at 7 end at 7. Couple of things to do in morning before heading to Hagerstown. No mufflers I will text you in morning around 7 to see where the convoy is.- reset2

Well looks like I'm adding to the last minute fix-its. Started with the wiper motor then wanted to paint the hood in primer because of peeling clear coat. BUYING A 7.3 IDI
As these trucks get older and harder to find it is difficult to find a good one. If you havent already bought the truck look some more. Where I live I use the four wheel drive a lot (on a hill) . Not just for snow but getting around. Love being able to use low range for moving trailers in tight...- reset2

Trucks back in service. Couple hundred miles so far. Still uses some water. Hopefully it wont let me down. Just changed it back over to "Rotella ELC anti freeze. Tractor Supply had best price. Also the coolant treatment from "Fleetpride". Still need to fix the wipers. Kinda important.- reset2

Most likely just me for Clemson. Also visiting my cousin near Liberty KY the same time. Got the truck back in one piece for now. Well after rebuilding the oil cooler I am thinking a head gasket. A cooler has to leak oil before it can leak water. Testing now.- reset2

Signed up for T-10 tent site. I also have my truck apart. Front diff out to change bushings and springs. While I was at it I found where my coolant was going, out the oil cooler. Now that is apart also. Much easier while front diff is out.- reset2

Rally and Air Conditioning I do refrigeration work also but mostly in the school system in Frederick County Maryland. Bought my compressor from Rock Auto they had best prices but I should have known that it was made in China. :dunno Works fine so far. I had a bad seal on my original pump...- reset2

One thing that should be added to one of the day trips would be "Longs Outpost". The main store is in Martinsburg PA, with a second store in New Paris. Both are great for the guys who like a good hardware store. The Martinsburg store has plenty shopping for the ladies not sure about the New...- reset2

Why does my rebuilt turbo from Conestoga diesel have a bent/broken housing?
I am impressed with Mel's knowledge and workmanship. After attending several IDI Weekends and talking to him on the phone a person or customer will never have a concern with him or his shop.- reset2
