DO NOT USE STP S3766 oil filters from AutoZone - warning!

I am currently in contact with them over the phone. They are taking me seriously which is a nice switch up from most "customer service" these days (looking at you comcast/xfinity :idiot:) I am not seeking damages for my engine, some T4 and a MC filter would be nice though. I am most concerned...

DO NOT USE STP S3766 oil filters from AutoZone - warning!

This is what happened, you can see the difference in the mating surfaces in posts above. Part number on that blue filter is S3766.

DO NOT USE STP S3766 oil filters from AutoZone - warning!

Here’s your proof... Bad filters. also... the gasket people are saying I left on is in the last pic looks to me that they installed the mating surface backwards, with the dish facing inwards

DO NOT USE STP S3766 oil filters from AutoZone - warning!

There’s no second gasket there, that’s a 1/4 inch gap

Napa and wix are the same filter apparently, not sure if there’s a price difference though

Truck wont start after clutch job, need help on where to start

I finally got it!!! Tricks include Cylinder rod must be facing the floor while cycling to fully fill with fluid. Second person must be watching brake cylinder until all bubbles stop. Pumping pattern for me was 2 seconds in, 2 seconds hold, 2 seconds out. Took around 15 times Go until...

DO NOT USE STP S3766 oil filters from AutoZone - warning!

Do not use the autozone STP S3766 oil filter. They have the correct part number and packaging, as well as the correct product in their pictures online. The part in the box (with part number S3766 sticker attached) is the WRONG PART. ALL parts on the shelf were like this. The mounting surface...

Truck wont start after clutch job, need help on where to start

Damn. So my best bet is to just pump and pump while the engine runs? The pedal doesn’t come back up in the slightest when released Opening the bleeder valve isn’t necessarily going to fix my issue?

Truck wont start after clutch job, need help on where to start

I filled the slave as the manual says, and gravity dropped the line. When I press on the rod backwards and open the bleeder fluid comes out. I just drove the truck around without the clutch, and it didn’t firm it up. Do I need to bleed more?

Truck wont start after clutch job, need help on where to start

Hello, I just swapped in a LUK repset, everything went well except my clutch slave broke, but I should probably replace that anyway. But that's not my issue During the process I messed up these two wires (one side goes to a connection on the turbo manifold, and one side goes into the cab. They...

    Front brake rotors

I don't believe that parts being made in China has much to do with quality. Chinese manufactures build to the quality their clients want them to build to, which is usually the cheapest, worst quality since the whole point of outsourcing is to save money. On the other hand Red Wing, Ray Ban...

Real world turbo towing limits - chime in!

Hello, Whenever I look up the GCVWR for my truck I get a little sad. It's something like 16.5k# which leaves around 7k# of trailer/cargo to work with, which is around 5k# less than my dad's 09 F150 triton, which really really makes me sad. But, I've got little faith in a 30 year old rating that...
