    Leaking Injectors?

The return lines and caps tend to leak more after being disturbed. Its possible that replacing the fuel line will fix your leak but its also likely the movement caused by removing the hose will make the caps leak even worse.

Glowplug Yellow Wire Bypass... What Size Fuse?

I am currently running a 200amp circuit breaker however when I measured the current draw it peaked around 250-260 amps or so then drops as the plugs heat up. So far it hasn't tripped the breaker however it hasn't gotten cold yet. When I get the chance I plan on replacing it with a 250amp breaker...

Source of NEW engine harnesses or at least connectors?

When I was fixing the trailer wiring on my truck i pulled about a dozen scotch locks off of 4 wires... all within a 1ft length... seemed like when the wire broke loose the po added a new scotch lock next to the old one. Thankfully that was the only spot they touched.

    Should this be tightened?

It would be good to throw a wrench at it and see if it needs tightened, the markings alongside the bolts is just different adjustments that has been done to the belt tension. All belts stretch over time and if the tensioner is manual it will need adjusted every so often.

    Not-Charging Frustration

I dont know how I missed that lol. Possibly there to help prevent high resistance when the mount starts to corrode. Some applications use it, others don't.

    Not-Charging Frustration

Are you talking about the "s" terminal? That goes from the built in regulator to the field windings in the alternator.

    Fuel issues?

You might have a fuel restriction somewhere in the system. If possible it would be best to route a fuel pressure gauge inside the cab and see what the pressure is doing when it acts up.

7.3 idi turbo hard to start

Does your glowplugs work? These engines rely heavily on the glowplugs even when warm outside.

    Toolkit for ignition switch.

I would say 2-3 jumper wires. To energize the shutoff solenoid, glowplug controller and starter solenoid. Just make sure its out of gear first before starting if manual.

Low end torque capability of 7.3 idi vs p7100 cummins 5.9

I cant say much for modified, however stock the turbo 7.3 idi makes 388ft-lbs @ 1400rpm. The 12v cummins makes 400-440ft-lbs @ 1600 rpm (depending on year)

    Not-Charging Frustration

If you have a 1g alternator you will find a small box on the passenger fender that looks like this. It will be the voltage regulator for the alternatorits best to replace it when you replace the alternator as well.

So what did you do with your truck today?

I was using all thread for proof of concept to see if it worked since it was what I had.

So what did you do with your truck today?

What i did with my truck to make the top bolt easier was using a length of all thread to build a stud that the starter slides over then use a nut to tighten the starter.

    Engine seal kit with turbo?

The seals and gaskets on a na 7.3 is the same as a turbo 7.3. Also i believe they are the same as well between the 7.3 and 6.9. The only differences are the head gaskets but the 7.3 turbo head gasket is hard to come across so everyone uses the 7.3 na gasket since they are compatible.

    Snap on 480 timing meter

I recently bought one of those myself. Before you buy it make sure it comes with all the accessories. The mt88a is the handle that connects the thread on probe to the machine, mt160 and mt161 are the two probes that thread into the head. One thing to keep in mind is they are also obsolete so...

Long crank times hot or cold

After looking at it closer I found the oil is entering the fuel tank (also draining the crankcase in the process). From what i understand this is a common symptom of bad injector orings. Is there anything else that can cause this as well?
