I always thought the 2 and 4 wheel drive trannies had different tail shafts for the transfer case, so the yoke could mount. I'm not sure how that would work unless you had the parking brake assembly off an f super duty to maintain 2wd.
Or...you could throw the transfer case in, and benefit off...
I bought the truck with the stock pickup bed on it, which I removed yesterday. I had this flatbed sitting around that I've been waiting to use for something, so I am currently mounting the flatbed to the truck. This bed is awful heavy. It was a massive pain swapping beds by myself with a skid...
This is still taking way too long, but it was a real pain getting it set right since it was sliding down hill
Now I get to level it a touch and mount it. Coming together pretty good though, I like it

Well, I had a little time yesterday afternoon, so I spent way too long getting the pickup bed off the crew cab. I cut all the bolts like usual, but 4 of them got stuck in the lower channel of the bed. After braking a few straps lifting the truck up by the bed, I threw a chain under the support...
I ran 35x12.50x17s on my stock f250 because they came with rims I bought. The height was no problem, but I had to shim the bumper and they rubbed the leaves anyhow. I was gonna swap out for 33s, but never got that far before selling the setup and returned to stock. It really messed up the...
Chances are, 800 is the cold cranking amps rating, and 1000 is the regular cranking amps rating.
That would cause it to test at 1000 amps if it's not cold or under load.

How many miles/hours are on the engine, and how long has this been going on?
I don't know how much oil loss we're talking about, but it wouldn't be a diesel if it didn't leak. Blowby comes naturally to these idis, so it may be possible all that crankcase pressure blew some seals and gaskets...
This made think for a minute about my international I had... The batteries grounded to the frame, mostly because the batteries are mounted in a box under the cab. But I don't remember any kind of jumper cable from the engine to the frame, so the engine must ground through the engine mounts and...
I'm glad you are going to be able to swap that turbo kit on to this truck.
looks like a neat project. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on it.

Ahh. I see....well, in that case you really should run the return back to the auxiliary tank.
I have to imagine that there will be back pressure on the return side, which would probably over fuel and run like crap if the pressure isn't enough to leak out.

If I understand correctly, you are running the truck off the rear tank with the valve switched to the rear? If so, all you have to do is plug the return for that tank like the supply.

I say go for it, but it's easy for me to spend your money, lol.
I love flatbeds, and have one sitting around to go on my crew cab at some point.
I say, if you're just going for looks keep the pickup bed since your truck looks amazing as it is. But if you're like me and need the flatbed for work...
I completely agree with this. Too many folks add an e pump just to mask air getting in the system. I personally don't notice a difference starting between the two, but that's not why I like e pumps. Just for priming the system after doing engine work makes them worth it, and I really like how...
A swap like that is a lot more time consuming then you may think, so it's easy for life to get in the way. There's a few dt466 swaps out there between all the forums.
I looked into at one point, but was seriously considering a dt360. A 466 is massive but would be awesome to see working in a...
Yup, I was kinda putting it off till spring before today, but now it's another project that I don't need now. Back in the 6.9 for now.
I'll be swapping in a 38 gallon tank and running it as a single tank, since I am sick of these dual tanks. And then of course an e pump and water separator like...
