I sent him a PM. I was able to get another rim, a set of tail lights, one front simulator, and a drivers side bullnose style DRW fender up in Old Fort NC yesterday! I would like to find a passenger side one and sell or trade my bricknose DRW fenders.
So got another rim, one front simulator, a set of taillights and a drivers side bullnose DRW fender all for $100 today at a place in Old Fort, NC. He has at least 50-75 ford trucks he is parting out, mostly from the 70’s and 90’s. I still need to find a second front simulator and would like to...
So I ordered a set of Fred’s spacers. The cost a littler more than I was expecting but they were extremely courteous when I talked to them on the phone. Looking forward to receiving them soon!
Also got a set of 8” stacks for $150! I would have preferred 5-6” but the price these will work too! And a CB radio setup. I’m getting ready to rebuild the rear axle and pull the bad motor whenever we get a long enough dry spell to solid up the ground lol!
So I was able to borrow a truck to move the project to levelish ground up on the hill where hopefully the mud will dry out faster! I got 6 - 315/75r16 Ironman tires from tirebuyer.com and only paid $160 apiece and they came in next day! I got them mounted but found one of my wheels is out of...
Here’s more differences lol! On my DRW rims from ‘85 they are both hub and lug centric and on my ‘88 and ‘91 DRW rims they are hub centric but the wheel spacers I’m finding that say they fit this model are lug centric. Can I use hub centric ones that are for a dodge or something?
My axles are from ‘88 and ‘91 on my f350 and I’m trying to find out if they are lug or hub centric. I thought ford switched some time in the 80’s as these have the flat lug nuts but from what I can find online, it’s showing it was in ‘98 when they went metric. Can someone please enlighten me...
That’s a 16 hour drive with two 2 and under so we’ll try one next year instead instead lol! Y’all be safe driving though and take pics for the rest of us!
I’m getting ready to order a set of 6 315/75r16 mud tires for my lifted ‘85 F350 DRW. I’ve hade good luck with Federal Couragias,Dick Cepeck Extreme Country MTs, and Americus MTs on my past SRW trucks. Right now I’m considering either Patriot tires from Omni or Ironman tires. I’m wanting to...
I’ll be taking this truck to the dump next month but wanted to check one last time if anyone could use the drive train. It was still working a year ago when parked but everything has a good bit of rust. Transfer case has PTO. Make an offer! Located I Fingerville, SC
I know I’ve gone 95 with my E40D at 3,800 rpm for several hours without any issues on one of my trips through Texas. Just don’t tell Johnny law! although I normally go the speed limit, I have a hard time sitting for hours on long road trips lol!
I see. I’ll try and see if I can get the bolts out and if not, I’ll rent a uhaul and see what a shop with a welder would charge me. I just hope they won’t quote me what they did on my dodge! ($800 just in labor!) I ordered the rotors 3 weeks ago from Bronco graveyard but they’re still...
The seals and bearings are on the rear axle. I wont be rebuilding this front axle until early Spring. I guess I was trying to ask if the rotors will be ok just being polished until then. I think the bolts are fine but worried about them being seized and snapping a head off like I did on my...
I’m already going With all new calipers and pads and rebuilding the drums so I’m hoping cleaning up the rotors will get them usable for now as the bolts are completely rusted out.
Money is not my biggest concern right now, I work 14 hour days 6 days a week right now and don’t have much time to work on this and we don’t have a running vehicle. I’m just thinking fighting them off will take a huge chunk of my time. I still have to intstall the motor, clutch, transmission...
Perhaps we should just mention in our current threads on our projects for folks to come here and vote on it. I don’t think I could swing New Hampshire or Ohio with our young children though.
