    replace you lift pump first. it's the cheaper of the two. then do an oil change and watch the level when done.

    rev up the motor. if the white smoke gets worse and it sounds like it's misfiring, it's the pump. it's done. if the motor smooths out when you rev it up, it's in the injectors.

    DO NOT GRIND OFF THE HEADS there is an internal shoulder that does NOT fall through the hole. in short, you will **** yourself silly. I tack weld the bolt heads to the bed instead. then I can get happy with the impact :D
