If number 1 is registering zero... as in doesnt budge the gauge at all... you've got a serious issue such as a burnt valve or a hole in a piston.. etc. Even if the injector was completely stuck wide open.. I'd say you'd still get something on the gauge due to the tight passages in the...
Well.. not as far as I wanted to get... but it's better then nothing. Hard to get a lot done with a 3 month old in the house.. lol
Wire-wheeled and painted...
And half of one side done...
I should have time this weekend to button it all up and finish painting everything. We'll see...
Can you post a pic of your setup?
We've been planning on running the ruffstuff components but didn't know if it would clear the diff cover and springs. Ruffstuff makes some good stuff and their customer support is top notch.
Because I have $70 worth of bearings and seals that I can't return and want to know if I can use them. They are right for my year of truck... they updated the seal as of '94. They didn't change the spindle or hub as far as I know... and I don't need the "upgraded" factory seal as I'm...
Hey guys...
I'm working on a '95 sterling 10.25. One of the oil slingers was destroyed. The wheel bearings and scottseal xl that I have are for a '90 which do not use the oil slingers (wheel bearings are different 3992 vs 3994 timken numbers)
I assume I can run the older 3994 bearing and...
What I'm talking about is shown in the diagram above...
Parking Brake Lever
Parking Brake Lever Assembly Bolt
Bushing, nut, and anti-rattle spring for said bolt.
And another small plate under that lever that isn't shown.
None of the "parts kits" contain any of those parts (I have both...
Anyone know where I can purchase parking brake components (inside the drum - lever, spring, mounting stud, etc)?
These parts do not come with any of the kits and from what I can tell, ford no longer offers them.
I can probably clean mine up, but they are in pretty sad shape.
Hey guys...
Looking to order new energy suspension bushings for the rear of my F350. They offer 2 kits... 1 with "common frame shackle bushings" and 1 with "molded-in frame shackle bushings". What is the difference and how can I tell what I have before ordering?
Thanks
Well... looks like I need to find some pictures of the brake system already rebuilt. Lol. Glad I didn't just put it under the truck...
Verified.. 4.10s with limited slip.
All the guts look good. Just need to figure out how this spindle nut/lock nut works and I'll have it fully...
Parts piling up...
Hope to tear it down this weekend... we'll see. Don't have a lot of free time right now. Still need to order e-brake cables, u-bolts, spring bushings, and one spring hanger.
Been there... I just ordered $350 worth of brake parts/bearings/seals for the rear of my '90. Still need parking brake cables, shocks, and a driveshaft rebuild... but oh well.. it's just money. Lol
Nice build bud.. keep it up.
360ish IIRC... Best to just call him up and ask. I'd say he is low on cores at the moment as he doesn't have any listed on his site.
You can also e-mail him. Be patient though as he doesn't have "staff" that I'm aware of and he stays pretty busy. Top notch guy to deal with though and is...
Odd... do you not use RUG to thin your wmo? I run a tank on the bed that is typically 85-90% wmo.. 10-15% gasoline. The carter oem replacement lift pump works just fine even when cool out.
To the OP... you can use a hydrometer and basically match the viscosity of your home brew to that of...
Stage 1s from R&D IDI Performance... A noticeable power difference and better turbo response.. start great... run smooth.. and customer service is great.
Been a while. Truck has been parked over the winter due to the rear drive shaft needing rebuilt and a coolant leak from my 4 core champion radiator (they shipped me a new one no questions asked). Being a '90, the truck also has the short shank pinion which I noticed had some play the last time...
Here is what we use to transfer oil in the shop (tote to tote or tote to drum)
We use a big block chevy oil pump that has been drilled/welded for 1" female pipe fittings and 1" hose barbs. The pump is driven by a 1/6hp motor we had laying around.. connected directly with a lovejoy coupler...
My trucks hvac controls have some issues and I don't want to mess with it. Cable operation just seems less problematic. I could fix the vacuum controls, but it seems I'd be doing a full rebuild and I'm not sure that its worth the hassle.
Hey guys...
Strongly considering deleting all things vacuum on my '90 350. My main concern at the moment is the HVAC controls. I've heard its possible to convert to cable operation.. has anyone done it?
If so, what components were needed? How much of a PITA was it?
Thanks
Hey guys...
Well I just got around to installing my banks cdr adapter and figured while I had the timing cover off, I could put the pin at 12:00 and bump the fuel up.
Lined everything up... new 5/32 allen wrench and a 5/32 wrench on that... couldn't get the screw to budge. Felt like...
