    those fs6 compressors always leak from the front seal. They even have a wick! When they leak that much with R12 they will really dump 134.

    Ya we deal with them when we get something weird. For now I put in a spi ptr. Just towed a heavy trailer home and it cooled it fine.

    Non chlorinated brackcleaner is a great flush solvent. You want 3.5oz of oil per pound of R134a. Then add 1 more oz of oil. It does not matter where you put the oil as it will get moved around as soon as refrigerant is added. Better to slightly over oil than under oil. Too much oil will...

    This is #4. This one split a tube. Not caused by anything other than a tube that was made too thin and eventully split. Thinking of giving up on the Champion ones. Might as well recore my old one with more tubes and fins. My cost on a core is $675 though. GULP!

    Stay away from those variable tubes.You will be replacing it with a normal tube in 2 weeks when it sticks.

    The OE sized blue orifice tube does not play well with R134a. The parts stores do not understand that you need a smaller orifice with R134a.I have been using the range tube and getting much cooler AC out here in the desert.

    Why can't the broken copper on be fixed? We fix them all day long. The 6.0 rad wont work as it has no provision for a radiator cap.

    I got tired of flooded batteries and them corroding the terminals. Went with AGM batteries and never looked back. Yes they cost more but they are worth it.

    Where is your timing at? Mine was -2atdc and the truck was a real turd. Advancing it to 6-8btdc made a huge difference.
