Oil or fuel filter?
If you use a Dieselcraft oil centrifuge you will take contamination out down to less than 2 micron and no filters to buy.

Too much fuel filtration, microns and WMO
Heat the oil to remove the water, buy a dieselcraft centrifuge. Centrifuges have no on going cost of buying filters and clean to less than 2 micron.

Put it in a glass jar and LOOK AT IT...is it Bright and Clear? Good. Cloudy not good.
