    tires for sand

I think about those payments, and I don't ever want to go there again. I tell you what; I get the longest looks from people. Either they think I just came out of the woods, or they just don't know what it is I'm driving.I took all the tags off and puttied the holes up before I painted it. It's...

    tires for sand

If I get off the road, or driveway, whichever, I get in dry sand. I'm running Kuhmo Crugen's , and they are a great tire for highway. I have maybe 3000 miles on them. The tread looks brand new and it would kill me to pull them off and put on A/t tires cause I know the chances of me selling these...

    tires for sand

Have to remember that I have to drive on the road most of the time. I think 35 is where I'm going to keep it for a little while. So as I was airing down, I broke one of the valve stems. Not the stem itself, but the core inside. Either I find some cores tomorrow or I have to bring it in to be...

    tires for sand

I'm running 235 85 16 tires. I aired down to 35 lbs and man what a difference. like I had coils springs up front. The fronts were at 90 psi. My wife even liked the ride. No rattling too. Will get on some sand today.

    tires for sand

Thing is I have to go back and forth between sand and pavement. So I can't go too low. I'll drop it down tomorrow and see how the truck rides.

    tires for sand

Hey all. i know this has been gone over a thousand times, but there are a hundred threads. So. I moved to where once you get off the road you're in sand. I have highway tires on the truck and these aren't worth a damn in sand. I'm thinking a 33 inch tire. I don't have a lift kit installed so...

    Synthetic oil as fuel?

Yeah I have done the 2 stroke thing. It has sulpher in it to add lubricity. Unless they removed that too.

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

When you're old like me you tend to self inspect --a lot. If I stay in the house I end up having to do chores. So I spend my time under or over my truck. Rolling around under the truck is relaxing.

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

Who gets these old things inspected? LOL. They are exempt I thought. I never had any of my trucks inspected.

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

But for me, and probably a bunch of other guys I have two different size fittings. If that was the case I would have used a rubber brake line with two female ends. I think it's 1/2 in and 3/8. Pipe.

    7.3 IDI overheating issue!!

Welcome. first of all, don't trust the gauges. Does the temp light come on? I was just reading about someone else having sortof the same issue. "There are two coolant temp sensors on these engines. One is for the gauge, the second is for the dummy light. If the dummy light trips, it pegs the...

Fuel pump not running after running out of fuel

Did you remove the factory lift pump? You can diconnect the fuel line before the filter and pull a vacuum to see if you get fuel. if you don' t get any chech the fuel selector valve. You can put your fingers on it as you toggle between front and back tanks. If you don't feel a big click...

Poor throttle response after replacing return lines

It sounds like it is stuck in between. You can take it off the frame and take it apart. A screw type mechanism switches the valve. You can look for pics here on repairing. I've done it before years ago. If it's bad they sell chinesium ones on evilbay. Or you can do a manual bypass.

6.9 injection pump install - no start

Check the output of the pump. Put some juice to it with the line going to the filter disconnected. Make sure the fsv is working and the tank has fuel. It sounds stupid but it's easy to overlook .

    IP tag info?

That's a 7.3 pump. 88-91. 185 hp. I had that one in my 91 f350. Yeah that crooked tag is suspect. I thought remans got black tags, or is that just from Stanadyne.

6.9 injection pump install - no start

Pull the fuel filter off and make sure its full. Make sure the electrical connections to the pump are good, like the fuel shutoff. You can also try putting a clear hose between the lift pump and filter head and see what kind of flow you have. Not getting fuel, so check from the ip back to the...

    Windshield sealant

That's contact cement. It's awesome for rubber weatherstripping. You need to apply to both the surfaces, and once it's together, it's not moving.

    Windshield sealant

Clear 100% silicone in the calk tube. Home depot or wherever. Just wear nitrile gloves so you can push it into the crevice without getting it all over your hand. You can apply that stuff underwater.

    Injectors or timing?

Make sure the hard line is shiny clean. You don't want any paint or rust on it. And like Bronco said, the ground needs to be good. I have the same meter and it was wonky at first, so I went over all the connections till it was right. And the probe needs to be close, and the groove on the...

RABS valve bypass. A completely different take.

That's right with the leaking. My valve is leaking, or always wet where the wires exit the valve. Going with the brass fitting setup when I get the time. I'm just going to replace the one line that with the large nut on it to the 3/8x24(?) so they are both the same. Mount it, then I'm done.
