What turbo is this??

Hi all looking for some advice on which turbo set up this is as well as what pieces are missing. I realize that this question probably gets asked alot but I cant figure it out and any help would be greatly appreciated. Came with the 94 7.3 idi motor I got off a guy that did a 12v swap. I know my way around these motors pretty well but have always had NA 7.3s so this is over my head. Thanks all in advance.

I'll take a guess that's an old Banks non wastegated turbo similar to the one in this pic.

Had the normal circular intake mounted on it and no where on the turbo says banks if that helps any

With the intake that uses the factory air cleaner, it’s more than likely a Hypermax.

With that exhaust outlet, it’s an early one....

E-Mail Hypermax with the pictures. If if theirs, they can identify it, and may send you some information. I asked them a couple questions about mine (it’s the newer version) they answered my questions and sent me some info. Hypermax is still really good about information and some support on their stuff.

They usually won't have the name of the company the sold the kit on the turbo itself. Just the brand name of the turbo itself.

I have a similar set up. The sticker on the air cleaner says CTS. Canadian Turbo Systems. The turbo is a Schwitzer.

Maybe it's the pic, but the impeller on yours looks kinda rough.

@bbjordan that would make sense then all the pieces other then turbo have cts cast into them followed by some numbers. I think the picture makes it look worse but definitely needs a rebuild before I'd ever run it.

@IDIBRONCO good information to know thanks! I know when looking up turbo kits I seen some of the banks ones had banks cast into the turbos so wasnt sure

Hi Scooch, I am glad Snow Monkey confirmed what I was thinking. It's a CTS for sure, I have one that I had on my '93 IDI for years and it worked well. You won't find feed pipes, but they can be fabricated easily. If you need a turbo core mine is in great shape.
