Just switch to the all in one unit from napa!

Napa part# 33417 -without water in fuel light
There's a more expensive unit with the water in fuel light but I cant find it. Ask NAPA they will have it.

Multiple issues going on here.
1. OP posted this in the idi section, but said it's a 96. So which is it?
2. Even on the powerstroke, the filter housing is referred to as the fuel bowl. So again, which is it?

Gets plenty of traffic, from psd users.
I only have the older style from my 94, which can be made to work, but would take awhile to get there.

thanks, I'm looking for one in a reasonable 2 or 3 hour drive
in the mean time my neighbour is pulling and express mailing one from my parts truck
but I'm not counting that egg until it's in my basket.
I'll be calling the junkyards in the morning too

I don't know much about the 7.3 PSDs, but that's low pressure fuel, right?
Why not just bypass the entire stock filter and use one of those cheap disposable inline filters? I'd bet you could find *something* that'd work at your local auto parts store.

Or, just get some sort of off-the-shelf filter head and basic fuel filter. More expensive, but a more permanent solution.

it's 65psi and the regulator is built into the housing and I'm 700 miles from home towing a 24' trailer so it needs to be right.

No easy way to bypass it.
If you can't get one local, I'd clean it real well and try jb weld or similar.

Brake clean it. Then JB Weld it plenty thick. It will get you back up and running fine. Sorry for the road troubles. They really suck.

I found a "good" one, but it's also pitted too. so it'll get epoxy and installed tomorrow.
