That makes good sense. I should really buy a pop tester. Are any of the cheapy pop testers on ebay any good?
They are fine for a set or three, but I don’t trust them to use them on customer stuff, this is what I use

Brand is diesel Kiki, they made injection pumps from the 60s to late 80s I believe, don’t know how old this one is, but I recently had this one resealed and it works fantastic. I have more money into it than I probably should, but I really like working with old equipment like this.

They may not be perfectly accurate, but that's OK. If you are 200 psi off on all of them... it doesn't matter at all - you'll adjust for it with timing anyway. What matters is that all are as closely matched as possible, which is something the cheap testers seem to do just fine.
