I know a lot of us have bought and used the champion Al radiators. My question is this. Has anyone had both a 3 core and a 4core in the same truck and does the 4 core cool better than the 3? Unfortunately, I bought mine just before the 4 core came out. I’m not sure how the fins per inch compare but I’m looking into that.

I’m still having cooling issues. I don’t think the radiator is the problem because I am 99% sure it’s not heat soaking because it cools so quickly after I get off the fuel. Just starting some homework to cover my bases. With the water cooled turbo also dumping heat into the system, I’m starting to rethink some things. I’ve got plenty of power and EGTs are totally manageable. Water temperature is my current limitation.

Mike, I really didn't notice any marked cooling difference between the 3 row and 4 row Champions in the short time I had the 4 rows in my truck. It was also winter and I never towed heavy with them. @catbird7 has a 4 row core in his truck I believe. I personally wouldn't buy another 4 row core after having gone through a couple of them, with the 3 row holding up fine.

I just read part of your saga. I need to go home and look mine over. I keep seeing mystery coolant drips (just a couple) on the floor that I can’t seem to locate.

Sharp looking rad and cool awesome when they don't leak! Fingers crossed, I've had zero problems with the replacement installed in Feb this year. Also add I had 4-core rad installed with bad fan clutch and it would over heat when climbing mountains or hung-up in traffic with AC on. Changed clutch and works perfect. I recall you already changed yours however if you have another clutch laying around it may be worth a try. While customer service was great, given my experience with Champion as well as listening to others, I'd consider going back to stock or Mishimoto if buying new again.

Nah! Just a little gentle ribbing. LOL

You should have come on down. It was a good time and not too far from you either.

That’s a nice looking truck btw. I think I’ve seen you with about everything except a Duramax now anyway. LOL

Nothing wrong with sampling a variety of cuisine.
