Hello,

I recently came into possession of a 1988 F350 with a NA 7.3 IDI. Currently I am in the middle of undoing the disasterous wiring (courtesey of the last owner), and chasing down the typical ford mushy brake pedal.

My plans include a mild turbo build on this motor followed by building a ground up idi for towing and daily driving. Any input or assistance would be greatly appreciated....

Dave

Many, here, have done that and more to IDI's. Just ask a question and you are on your way.

I'll post some pics this week. The truck is fre of rot and rust, but it has been worked hard and the bed is hammered. The upside is I have been an autobody tech for 30 years so that is really just a matter of me taking the time to track down the parts and do the work. The goal for now is getting it mechanically sound, then I will attack the interior and body.
