Occasionally I'd like to use the winch on my truck to load (typically) a non-running vehicle onto a flatbed trailer. If I could attach the trailer at/to/under the front bumper of my truck to hold it steady while winching whatever onto said trailer using my truck's front-mounted winch, that would make my life a lot easier. As it is, I am using a hand winch to drag my non-running antique vehicles up onto the trailer and that is a lot of work (also pretty ridiculous considering my F250 has this electric winch).
Would you guys have any suggestions for a basic front-mount hitch sufficient to steady a 6,000 lb GVW "utility" trailer for loading? I wouldn't be towing the trailer from the front of the truck, just trying to hold the trailer steady long enough to winch a vehicle up on to it.
Thank you.
